In this study, titanium alloy (Ti-4Al-1.5Mn), magnesium alloy (Mg-Li9-A3-Zn3), or aluminum alloy (Al7075-T6) were used to construct the shell model of helicopter rotor blade to study the solid particle erosion of helicopter rotor blades. The erosion resistance of the three materials at different angles of attack (6°, 3°, or 0°) and particle collision speeds (70, 150, or 220 m/s) was examined using the finite volume method, the discrete phase method, and erosion models. In addition, the leading edge of the helicopter blades was coated with two types of bionic anti-erosion coating layers (V- and VC-type), in an attempt to improve erosion resistance at the angles of attack and particle collision speeds given above. The results showed that Ti-4Al-1.5Mn had the best erosion resistance at high speed, followed by Al7075-T6 and Mg-Li9-A3-Zn3. The angle of attack appeared to affect only the surface area of the blade erosion, while the erosion rate was not affected. Finally, the results of this article showed that the V-type bionic coating had better erosion resistance than the VC-type coating at the same impact speeds. The angle of attack did not have a significant effect on the erosion rate of the bionic coating.
In order to reduce backflow and improve output performance, a valveless piezoelectric pump with a reverse diversion channel was produced. The channel was designed based on the structure of the Tesla valve, which has no moving parts and can produce a high-pressure drop during reverse flow. Therefore, this special flowing channel can reduce the backflow of a valveless piezoelectric pump, which has the characteristic of one-way conduction. This work first revealed the relationship between the main structural parameters of the Tesla valve and the kinetic energy difference of liquid. Then, by using simulation software, the structure was verified to have the characteristics of effective suppression of the backflow of valveless piezoelectric pumps. Through setting multiple simulations, some important parameters that include the optimal height between the straight channels (H), the optimal angle (α) between the straight channel and the inclined channel, as well as the optimal radius (R) of the channel were confirmed. Finally, a series of prototypes were fabricated to test the output performance of this valveless piezoelectric pump. Comparing the experimental results, the optimal parameters of the Tesla valve were determined. The results suggest that when the parameters of the Tesla valve were H = 8 mm, α = 30°, and R = 3.4 mm, the output performance of this piezoelectric pump became best, which had a maximum flow rate of 79.26 mL/min with a piezoelectric actuator diameter of 35 mm, an applied voltage of 350 Vp-p, and a frequency of 28 Hz. The effect of this structure in reducing the return flow can be applied to fields such as agricultural irrigation.
Edge detection is a requisite task in the interpretation of potential field data. The existed edge detectors have the disadvantages that they cannot balance the edges of strong and weak amplitude anomalies simultaneously, or the identified edges of deep geological bodies are divergence and fuzzy. In order to overcome this problem, this paper presents the normalized enhanced analytic signal detectors to extract the edges, which can improve the disadvantages effectively. The normalized enhanced analytic signal detectors use different orders vertical derivatives of potential field data to normalize the different orders enhanced analytic signals. The new detectors are tested on synthetic gravity data, which can not only display the edges of shallow and deep geological bodies clearly at the same time, also can identify the edges more precisely and clearly. Finally, these detectors are demonstrated on real gravity and magnetic data from China, which can bring out more edge information.
