We present an off-the-shelf device combined with some commercial adapters that performs as a micro droplet generator. The advantage of this unit lies in that it is assembled conveniently, connected elegantly with other droplet detection equipment, and it is high-pressure enduring. Most importantly, this Micro-Cross circumvents the problem of hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity and produces W/O or O/W droplets at a higher frequency than PDMS chips.
A novel system to generate the tooth arch curve has been developed. The traditional method of manually determining the dental arch may soon become obsolete in favour of the use of a robot to assist in generating a more standard tooth arch curve. The system can be used to manufacture a full denture. It will lay an important theoretical foundation for quantitative research of oral restoration, and also provide a way to standardize the manufacturing process of full denture.
In this paper, the geometry-electromagnetic character, thermal condition of the coils, and encapsulation number are coupled in the optimization design of an air core reactor, to realize the minimum usage of metal conductor. Combined with the equality constraint conditions for maximum temperature rise conservation, inductance conservation, and structure function of the reactor, the optimization design curves and results are achieved based on the initial design parameters. According to the design results, the temperature field simulation model of the reactor is established, and the results verify the correctness of the optimization method. Compared with the design method of 'equal height and heat flux' and thermal-electromagnetic character without considering the change of encapsulation number, the proportionality factor of metal conductor usage is 0.73 with the optimization method. It shows that the optimization method can significantly improve the utilization ratio of the conductor. Meanwhile, the influence of regularity on the electromagnetic efficiency, thermal efficiency, and other parameters is also obtained.
The accuracy of voltage and current transformer (VT and CT) is a key factor in electric power metering. Ratio error and phase displacement calibration of VT and CT is traditionally carried out off-line. As a result of the expansion of the power grid and the increasing metering quality requirements from customer side, the off-line metering of VT and CT becomes more and more difficult. In this paper, a VT accuracy on-line evaluation system is developed, which can evaluate the accuracy of VT under on-line operating status. The principle and adopted key techniques in the development of the VT accuracy on-line evaluation system is introduced. Some on-site test results are also presented and analyzed as application demonstration.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
