A sazón del crecimiento de la derecha radical contemporánea en Europa en este artículo se busca realizar un análisis profundo y contextualizado de una de las estructuraciones ideológicas más relevantes de la actualidad, la visión “neopagana” postulada por el filósofo francés y fundador de la Nouvelle Droite, Alain de Benoist. Tras exponer la imbricación teórica del paganismo con la articulación de la cosmovisión de la derecha radical post Segunda Guerra Mundial, se procede a realizar un análisis de las principales tesis defendidas en la articulación del paganismo. En este sentido, se presta especial atención no sólo a la exposición de las tesis, sino también a la justificación y el hilo de pensamiento que lleva a Alain de Benoist a sus conclusiones. Finalmente, se concluye que la aproximación pagana de este autor representa un intento consciente y de carácter revolucionario de reestructurar ideológicamente a la derecha radical tras 1945, unificando a buena parte de los pensadores clásicos de la derecha radical bajo una nueva perspectiva en pos de la creación de una nueva ética moral que pretende servir de base para la constitución de una sociedad sustentada sobre la jerarquía, el comunitarismo y la defensa de las culturas particulares frente al multiculturalismo. Por último, se realiza una exposición de la gran relevancia de los planteamientos presentes en el paganismo a la hora de conformar la cosmovisión de la derecha radical europea contemporánea.
