Objetivos: Analisar e avaliar o impacto da assistência à saúde ofertada ao paciente surdo. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura, cujo levantamento de informações foi realizado em banco de dados eletrônicos: Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SciELO) e PubMed. Em relação a critério de inclusão, foram selecionados os artigos dos últimos 10 anos. Em relação a critério de exclusão, foram desconsiderados artigos que não abordaram o tema proposto. Resultados: Essa revisão literária está composta por 11 artigos que trazem informações referente sobre profissional de saúde e paciente, com percepções do atendimento de ambos os lados. Considerações finais: Sugere-se que os surdos possuem maior tendência a adoecer com maior facilidade em relação à população ouvinte. Outro fator que corrobora é a comunicação prejudicada entre paciente e médico, que reduz entendimento sobre prevenção, diagnóstico e tratamento.
