Abstract. The low participation of Padang citizens in the local elections leads to questions on how effective is the media's role in providing properAbstrak. Rendahnya partisipasi masyarakat Kota Padang untuk menentukan pemimpinnya pada pemilihan kepala daerah memunculkan pertanyaan tentang bagaimana individu sebagai pengguna media mampu termediasi secara proporsional dengan isu-isu publik. Bagaimana media sendiri mampu memunculkan atensi dan motivasi untuk masyarakat agar terlibat aktif dalam isu-isu publik. Melalui media, masyarakat bisa terhubung dengan isu-isu publik (public concerns), memperoleh, membangun, sekaligus menyebarkan wacana atau opini yang dianggap penting bagi kehidupan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan perilaku individu mengonsumsi media (media consumption) dengan keterlibatan individu terhadap isu-isu publik, baik yang bersifat orientasi maupun partisipasi (civic engagement dan public participation). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif correlational research. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Pemilihan lokasi dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling dan didapatkan empat kelurahan yang menjadi sample. Jumlah responden 100 orang yang didasarkan dengan rumus Taro Yamane dengan nilai kritis sebesar 10%. Faktor usia menjadi faktor dominan pada pilihan media. Kaum muda lebih memilih mengakses media online dibandingkan media konvensional, sebaliknya semakin tua usia
The 2019 election that was just passed was thick with the aroma of identity politics. The issues raised are mostly related to certain groups, religions, races and ethnicities. We rarely hear issues that develop in the community about discourse on vision / mission, programs offered, and so forth. The discourse that is built around the election, both ahead of the election or until now is very dominated by the discourse on identity politics. If we listen to the conversation on social media, food stalls, associations and organizations in West Sumatra is to choose based on religion, ethnicity, groups, and others. This means that identity politics is very strongly felt in this 2019 election. A person's political choices are not based on track records, work programs, or campaign promises offered. However, the choice is based on the identity carried by the individual who is a candidate. This research was conducted qualitatively with an explanatory approach. The research aims to describe the political discourse on identity among the Sharia Pilgrims in the 2019 elections. This study also looked at the political decision of the Sharia Jamaah based on the political discourse on identity that they got. The results showed that there were three sources of identity politics discourse, namely Tuanku, the media, and relatives. Syariah.
The excellent education need evaluation, changes, curriculum development, facilities and infrastructure, good educational management that includes innovative and creative of method and learning model. The practice of Blended Learning on Lobby and Negotiation studies on third year is necessary to improve hard skill and soft skill. The desire output from this learning is the improvement of student's skill in lobby and negotiation for the 2018 class student. Students need to be knowledgeable, good communicator and having a great strategy for winning the war. Students are expected to apply negotiation technique and presentation, activity simulation, able to create portfolio, present their thoughts, confident, independent, disciplined and able to work together as a team by using the knowledge of soft skill. The blended learning method in this course is combined SCL methods, such as discovery learning, small group discussion, case study, role play & simulation, corporative learning and collaborative learning. This Lobby and negotiation class is conducted for 54 students, with the final result shown the improvement of class activity and class accomplishment with final score grading A as 90,7% , B+ as 7,4% and 1,9% failed the class.
Kurang maksimalnya promosi yang dilakukan kampung wisata Sanjay di media sosial melatarbelakangi kegiatan ini. Promosi menggunakan media social mengharuskan pengelola melakukan up-date kegiatan sebagai sarana promosi. Selain itu, media sosial tidak muncul pada search engine, kecuali publik melakukan kunjungan ke sosial media kita. Selanjutnya promosi terbatas melalui word of mouth sehingga jangkauan publik hanya seluas jaringan tertentu saja.. Oleh sebab itu aplikasi GMB (Google my business) dari Google dapat mengatasi kelemahan dari promosi di sosial media. Aplikasi GMB dapat memperkuat promosi kampung wisata sanjai melalui pencarian google. Publik mencari dengan menggunakan kata kunci dan terkoneksi juga dengan Google maps. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode pelatihan dan mentoring dalam menyampaikan pesan kepada kelompok pengelola dan pengusaha yang ada di kampung sanjai untuk menjadi entrepeneurs di ladang e-commerse. Beberapa usaha yang terdapat di desa Sanjai Kota Bukittinggi, tidak banyak yang telah memiliki sarana promosi secara online. Pelatihan Google My Bussiness ini diberikan untuk membekali pengusaha-pengusaha yang ada di kampung Sanjay dalam promosi dagangannya secara digital. Selain pelatihan ini juga dimanfaatkan dalam mengembangkan promosi wisata kampung Sanjay. Hasil kegiatan ini pengusaha belum maksimal dalam memanfaatkan pelatihan ini. Banyaknya kendala yang terjadi di lapangan, seperti target pelatihan yang gagap teknologi. Diperlukan upaya mentoring dengan tujuan mereka dapat melakukan upaya promosi secara mandiri.
Public speaking courses have taught that the importance of communicating well and can communicate with the public by being a good public speaker. Awareness of the ability to communicate in public also makes the Department of Political Science at the Faculty of Social Sciences Political Science, University of Andalas make public speaking courses as a compulsory subject for students. The course with the weights 3 credits. This requires the Department of Political Science student in order to be able to communicate well in public. Output is expected after the Department of Political Science's students learn public speaking is that will not only be good at politics and understand politics, but they are expected to become a political figure who knows how to convey the message to the audience. The method used is research of class action, which means the basic idea that a person / people doing research of this class action. This classroom action research using qualitative methods to describe data. The purpose of this study isdescribe the application SCL Discovery Learning methods in enhancing activity and learning achievement in public speaking courses Students Politics second semester.
