This study aims to determine the spiritual impact of the sudden death of a husband or wife experienced by grieving couples and how to deal with the sudden loss of a husband or wife, as well as how the impact of pastoral counseling services experienced. In this study, researchers used qualitative research methods through semi-structured interviews conducted on participants to obtain the intended data. From the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the impact of the sudden death of the husband causes a crisis for the participants and one of them is a spiritual crisis. The role of pastoral counseling services carried out by the Pastor can help participants to get through and manage the crisis situation they are experiencing. Although until now, participants have not experienced a complete recovery.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak spritual akibat kematian suami atau istri secara tiba-tiba yang dialami oleh pasangan yang berduka dan bagaimana menghadapi peristiwa kehilangan suami atau istri secara tiba-tiba, serta bagaimana dampak pelayanan pastoral konseling yang dialami. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan Metode penelitian kualitatif melalui wawancara semi terstruktur yang dilakukan terhadap partisipan untuk memperoleh data yang dimaksudkan. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa dampak dari kematian suami secara tiba-tiba mengakibatkan keadaan krisis bagi partisipan dan salah satunya ialah krisis spritual. Adapaun peran pelayanan pastoral konseling yang dilakukan oleh Gembala Sidang dapat menolong partisipan untuk melewati dan megelolah keadaan krisis yang dialami. Walaupun sampai saat sekarang ini, partisipan belum mengalami pemulihan secara total.
