Esta investigación mantuvo como objetivo general incorporar la actividad física en la vida cotidiana de los estudiantes para promover un estilo de vida saludable. Para esto, se realizó una revisión de la literatura científica, que abordó la concepción teórica que se mantiene sobre los aportes de la actividad física. La investigación se desarrolló desde un diseño no experimental, de tipo explicativa y de campo, cuya recolección se la realizó a través del Coeficiente de confiabilidad Alfa de Cronbach, con un valor de 0,777, lo que permitió aplicar el instrumento a los 40 estudiantes del Décimo Año de Educación Básica Superior, del Colegio de Bachillerato 26 de noviembre, de la ciudad de Zaruma. El análisis estadístico se realizó a través de SPSS y se estableció que el 100% de los estudiantes encuestados considera que el deporte mejora la salud física, pero solo el 65% considera que reduce el sedentarismo y mejora el aprendizaje. Por esta razón se estructuró una propuesta para implementar la actividad física en los estudiantes.
