The purpose of this research was to increase creativity of the future physicsteachersthrough General Biology learning based on CTL with experimental method. The type of research used in this study was classroom action research (CAR) through 4cycles of activity. Cycle I shown that on the achievement of creativity, the lowest indicator was in formulating question (59.21%), and the highest indicator was in formulating conclusion (76.32%) while the average of indicators’ achievement was 71,71% in which the target of 75% of performance indicator were failed to reach.Cycle II shownthat the lowest achievement indicator wasin applying the principle, that is 63,16% and the highest achievement indicator is in formulating conclusion, that is 78,95% while the average achievement of critical thinking skill of cycle II equal to 71,21%. Physics future teachers creativity were improved into 8.55% from pre-cycle I to cycle I while from cycle I to cycle II improved into 6.14%. The result of cognitive learning shown that of cycle II was obtained the mean value of cycle II which equal to 76,82. The percentage of the learners who had reached the target of learning mastery was 77.14%. The average of cognitive learning achievement of Physics future teachers was improved from pre cycle to cycle I into 10.54 while from cycle I to cycle II was improved into 3.2. The resultsshows that CTL experimental method can improve the creativity of the future physics teacher of IAIN Palangka.

Keywords: CTL, creativity, experimental method

The purpose of this study is to contribute to the development of knowledge-based on local wisdom by describing the origins and techniques of using Kumpai Babulu grass (Paspalidium punctatum), botanical description and its importance to the community of watermelon farmers in Bangaris, Palangka Raya. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods with three stages; preliminary study, ethnobotanical survey and data collection. Data collection was carried out through 4 research instruments which consist of observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively with validity techniques using data triangulation. The results showed that the community of watermelon farmers in Bangaris-Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan have cultivated Kumpai Babulu (Paspalidium punctatum) as an organic mulch in watermelon farming, a technique used as a legacy from generation to generation from their hometown, Negara, Hulu Sungai Selatan, South Kalimantan. They have utilized two techniques in processing Kumpai Babulu mulch, by spraying herbicides and rolling techniques until the grass dries and is ready to be used as mulch. Watermelon farmers’ community in Bangaris were also utilizing these species as animal feed and organic fertilizer. This shows that Kumpai Babulu (Paspalidium punctatum) has an important role, especially for the economy of the community.

This study aims to see the integration of values in the curriculum and lectures in biological tadris/departement study program using a qualitative approach. This type of research is divided into two, namely the type of content analisys research and the type of field research research. Types of content analisys research using curriculum data, while the lecture process taken samples in the Higher Botanical Botanical field using field research. The research data was collected through survey, interview, and document analysis. The results show that the application of the integration of Islamic values contained in the curriculum book uses a model of developing an educational curriculum in educational institutions, in which there is integration in the graduation profile, the main competencies of graduates, and additional or other competencies. The results of research indicate that the study of the High Botanical Botanical course uses an integration model to explore the verses in the Qur'an and the methodological integration model by implementing the Islamic integration on the process as well as the evaluation. Application of lectures and lab activities in the laboratory with a methodological integration model. The integration contained in the RPS document contains Islamic values by listing the suras and verses in the Qur'an.
