En el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de las unidades fraseológicas en los cursos de español como lengua extranjera (ele) de la Universidad de Oriente, Cuba, se evidencia una limitada interpretación de las fórmulas rutinarias; esto reduce las posibilidades de interacción del estudiante no hispanohablante en el nivel de referencia A1 en el contexto de inmersión sociocultural cubano. Por tal motivo, el objetivo del artículo es examinar algunos fundamentos teóricos y metodológicos para desarrollar la enseñanza de las fórmulas rutinarias en el referido proceso. La metodología utilizada es la revisión bibliográfica con un enfoque cualitativo y exploratorio. El análisis de las fuentes teóricas consultadas revela la importancia del tratamiento de las fórmulas rutinarias en la enseñanza del ELE (Penadés, 1999; Fernández, 2004; Cortina, 2009; Martín, 2010; Villavicencio, 2011; Rodríguez, 2013; Timofeeva, 2013; Alessandro, 2015; Saracho, 2015; Szyndler, 2015; Aguilera y Villavicencio, 2017; Villavicencio y Grajales, 2019). No obstante, aún se carece de estudios que profundicen en la aplicación de tareas de aprendizaje con énfasis en el tratamiento metodológico a las fórmulas rutinarias, cuyo propósito sea que los estudiantes del nivel A1 puedan apropiarse de estas como elementos representativos del registro coloquial, debido a su variedad y alta frecuencia de uso en la lengua española. Por estas razones, proponemos un conjunto de tareas didácticas que favorezcan la enseñanza de este tipo de unidad fraseológica y posibiliten ampliar las competencias léxica, sociolingüística y pragmática del estudiante no hispanohablante en contexto de inmersión sociocultural.
