New photoassociation data on the 0 + u levels of Rb 2 below the 5S+5P 1/2 limit are combined with older data (Cline et al 1994 Phys. Rev. Lett. 73 632) in a fit to potentials and spin-orbit functions. The P 1/2 data exhibit oscillations in the B(v) values due to coupling between the two 0 + u series, as modelled accurately by a coupled potentials approach. The fitted value for the C 3 dispersion parameter from the combined data agrees well with the value derived from the pure long-range 0 − g state.
with the EASM. This epochal change is associated with a change in the leading circulation mode in the Asia-WP region. During the PRE (POST) epoch the WPSH variation is mainly controlled by the AOI (CP forcing) that mainly affects EASM (ISM). The epochal change of the leading mode may be attributed to the change of the ENSO properties in late 1990s: the CP types of El Nino become a leading ENSO mode in the POST epoch. This work provides a new perspective for understanding decadal changes of the ENSOmonsoon relationship through subtropical dynamics.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
