A hybrid seismic retrofit scheme, which utilizes a buckling-restrained brace (BRB) to enhance the lateral strength, stiffness and energy dissipation capacity of a seismically-weak reinforced concrete (RC) frame and steel caging to improve the flexural and shear strength of the deficient RC columns and beam-column joints, is proposed. Cyclic quasi-static tests were performed on two half-scale one-story, and single-bay RC frames to evaluate the efficiency of the hybrid retrofit technique. The performance of the BRB, the steel caging, and the connections of the retrofitted frame were studied and found to be satisfactory. The BRB significantly increased the lateral load resistance and energy dissipation capacity of the frame, and the steel caging could effectively change failure mechanism of the RC frame by preventing column failure. Analytical models were developed with OpenSees to simulate the experimentally observed behaviors. Reasonable agreements were achieved between the numerical and experimental results.
Sediments frequently appear at the bottom of oil and gas wells in the bottom of carbonate rocks during completion or production, seriously affecting the productivity. In order to solve the wellbore cleaning problem, this article applies the Bernoulli equation theory method, the finite element method based on the standard turbulence model and the laboratory test to verify a kind of negative pressure wellbore cleaning tool which can establish local reverse circulation under the action of high-pressure water jet and salvage the bottom debris. Through the numerical analysis of the cleaning tool structure, it is found that the wall face diameter is at least two times of the nozzle hole diameter to effectively play the cleaning tool performance. If the total area of nozzle outlet is 48π mm2, the cleaning tool fishing capacity of six nozzle structures is improved the most. The analysis of the adaptability of the cleaning tool shows that the cleaning tool with an outer diameter of 104 mm is most suitable for the casing shaft with an inner diameter of 127.3 mm. The cleaning tool was applied to the field operation and successfully cleaned the wellbore, effectively increasing the wellbore productivity.
An investigation, through empirical research, of the relationship between education in Transactional Analysis theory and the Locus of Control of college students. Two questionnaire surveys were conducted before and after the Transactional Analysis classes, and personal narrative reports by the students were collected. It was found that psychology education in Transactional Analysis correlated with a reduction in scores for the External Control proclivity of the 81 students, and their assignments displayed similar proclivity. Transactional Analysis knowledge was shown to help students discover and explore their own potentials and liberate their creativity. It is proposed that an increase of transactional analysis theory in the education of college students should be considered.
With the development and progress of science and the continuous development of new branches in the field of technology, great changes have taken place in the field of education and learning. Some new technologies provide timely information access for mobile learning, so that users can access information resources anytime and anywhere. Mobile learning has been applied and developed rapidly in college students. It is of great practical significance to study the influencing factors of M-learning behavior intention of Postgraduates for effectively improving their own development. Based on the theory of planned behavior, this study explores the factors that affect the behavior intention of M-learning of postgraduates. The purpose is to provide some meaningful suggestions and measures to help postgraduates better carry out m-learning. Based on the theory of behavior, the questionnaire was designed. In this study, random sampling method was used to conduct the survey. The subjects of the survey were graduate students of * * Normal University. A total of 322 questionnaires were collected. The results show that the main influencing factors of M-learning behavior intention of postgraduates are classmate influence, usefulness cognition and self-efficacy. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the understanding of these aspects in order to effectively promote m-learning behavior intention of postgraduates.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
