Aligning with the recovery perspective, we propose a dual-path model to illustrate the effects of employees' evening cyber leisure on next-day work outcomes, namely, psychological vitality and performance. We argue that evening cyber leisure has contradicting effects on next-day performance and vitality through its effects on bedtime procrastination and psychological detachment, and in turn, sleep quantity and sleep quality. We also propose that trait mindfulness acts as an important boundary condition of the indirect effects of evening cyber leisure. We used an experience sampling methodology to collect three surveys per day for 10 days from 155 R&D employees of a biotech company. Our findings suggest that cyber leisure has a negative indirect effect on sleep quantity and sleep quality via bedtime procrastination, and a positive indirect effect on sleep quantity and sleep quality via evening psychological detachment. Additionally, sleep quantity was positively associated with performance, and sleep quality was positively associated with psychological vitality. Lastly, as trait mindfulness increased, the negative impact of cyber leisure on bedtime procrastination was mitigated, and the positive impact of cyber leisure on psychological detachment was enhanced. Theoretical and practical implications specific to the use of cyber devices for workplace recovery are discussed.

The current research examined differences in career decision-making profiles (CDMP) between American and Chinese university students, as well as the meditational mechanisms possibly underlying these cultural differences. The results of a survey among American (N = 929) and Chinese (N = 945) undergraduates showed that Chinese participants scored significantly higher on consulting with others, desire to please others, willingness to compromise, dependence on others, procrastination, but lower on aspiration for an ideal occupation, internal locus of control, and effort invested in career decision-making than did the American participants. Prior work suggests that follower and leader risk orientation is positively associated with follower creativity. We suggest that this view is oversimplified and propose that follower creativity can be stimulated when leader and follower have diverging risk orientations. We, therefore, apply a configurational approach to creativity, evaluating varying combinations of leader and follower risk orientation on follower creativity. Across two field studies, we demonstrate that (a) follower creativity increases as leaders’ and followers’ risk orientations become more discrepant (i.e., incongruent); (b) follower creativity is higher when leader–follower dyads are congruent at moderate levels of risk orientation compared to congruence at the extremes (i.e., low and high levels); (c) follower‐experienced intellectual stimulation mediates the relationship between leader–follower risk orientation incongruence and congruence and follower creativity; and (d) that leader authority openness moderates the indirect effect of leader–follower risk orientation incongruence on creativity via follower‐experienced intellectual stimulation. Theoretical and practical implications specific to creativity and leader–follower relationships are discussed.

Glioblastoma (GBM) has become the most aggressive primary brain tumor in the world. Patients with GBM usually have a poor prognosis. The median survival times of GBM patients retain less than 2 years. Thus, it is urgent to investigate the molecular mechanism of GBM. Recently, studies have demonstrated that transcription factors (TFs) participate in cancer pathology by regulating long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs). However, the functional and regulatory roles of TF‐lncRNA crosstalks are still unclear. In this study, we constructed a global lncRNA‐TF network (GLTN) based on competing endogenous RNA. As a result, some topological features of GLTN were identified. A known GBM lncRNA MCM3AP‐AS1 showed multiple central topological features in GLTN. Furthermore, we identified hub genes and extracted the hub‐hub pairs from GLTN to form a hub associated lncRNA‐TF network (HALTN). Results showed that a risk model combined with multiple hubs had a significant effect on prognosis. Additionally, we performed module searching and two functional modules from HALTN were identified, which were confirmed as risk factors of GBM. More importantly, we also identified some core lncRNA‐TF crosstalks that might form feedback loops to control the biological processes in GBM. Our results demonstrated that the synergistic, competitive lncRNA‐TF crosstalks played an important role in pathological processes of GBM, and had strong effect on prognosis. All these results can help us to uncover the molecular mechanism and provide a new therapeutic target for GBM.
