Resumo: Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar o perfil dos estudantes do curso de Engenharia Biomédica da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (UFU). Para tanto foi aplicado um questionário com perguntas de múltipla escolha. Itens desde cidade de origem até área que pretendem seguir foram avaliados. O número de respostas representa 48,1% do total de alunos do curso de graduação. Os resultados mostraram que a preferência por área de atuação dos estudantes mudou ao longo do curso. Os discentes cursando até o quinto período (Grupo A) preferem as áreas de Neurociência, seguida por Próteses e Órteses e Engenharia Clínica. Os estudantes do sexto período em diante (Grupo B) se interessam, em sua grande maioria, pela área de Engenharia Clínica. A maior parte dos discentes de ambos os grupos preferem atuar no mercado de trabalho ao invés da área acadêmica. A graduação em Engenharia Biomédica foi a primeira opção de 65,8% dos estudantes, os 34,2% restantes se interessaram por outros cursos da área de exatas e biológicas, reafirmando o perfil interdisciplinar dos discentes. De modo geral, a pesquisa mostrou as perspectivas dos estudantes perante as possibilidades da Engenharia Biomédica. Os dados apresentados podem servir como guia para discussões futuras acerca da grade curricular e do perfil do egresso, levando em consideração a percepção dos próprios alunos. Objetivo: descrever a organização e funcionamento de um grupo sobre sexualidade realizado em um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial do sul do Brasil. Método: relato de experiência da vivência prática de um grupo coordenado por residentes multiprofissionais da Enfermagem, Educação Física e Psicologia, em agosto a outubro de 2019. Resultados: foram realizados 10 encontros abordando temas relacionados à sexualidade: anatomia masculina e feminina, orientação sexual e gênero, primeira relação sexual, gravidez, métodos contraceptivos, aborto, infecções sexualmente transmissíveis, religião e substâncias psicoativas. Com o auxílio de recursos multimídia, os encontros proporcionaram reflexão acerca dos tópicos, esclarecendo dúvidas, trabalhando sentimentos despertados e ampliando conhecimento sobre o tema e sobre si. Conclusão: a partir de temas que geram constrangimento, fantasias e receios, foi possível fazer uma intervenção de informação e prevenção em saúde, onde usuários sentiam-se validados em sua totalidade, recebendo um olhar integral.
