Abstract. With the rapid development of Device-to-Device (D2D) wireless communication technologies and the wide applications of human-carried smart mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets, content sharing attracts numerous attentions in mobile E-learning environments. Due to the high mobility of humans and the resource-limited smart mobile devices, the design of efficient content sharing schemes faces great challenges. This paper presents a novel data dissemination approach for efficient content sharing in mobile e-learning environments. In the proposed approach, a policy of random splitting and broadcasting of contents is applied to decrease the number of re-transmissions. The simulation results prove its efficiency and higher delivery ratio compared with traditional approaches.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
