The first example of an acid-promoted difunctionalization of ketones to construct C-P and C-C bonds via a phospha-aldol-elimination is described under metal and solvent free condition. The cascade α-phosphorylation and...
An effective and economical acid-promoted three-component reaction for
the construction of C-P and C-C bonds for the synthesis of γ-ketone
phosphine oxides was developed. Detailed mechanistic experiments
confirmed that the reaction proceeds by phospha-aldol-elimination, in
which a benzylic carbocation is generated from the phosphorylation of
aldehydes, which then reacts with ketone enolates under acidic
conditions.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
