The temperature dependence of the microwave surface resistance for overdoped YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7Ϫ␦ films has been investigated experimentally. It was shown that the observed unusual behavior of the surface resistance can be described in the framework of the spin-flip scattering of carriers, leading to the pair breaking and the subsequent recovery of superconductivity caused by the ordering trend of the magnetic impurities at low temperature. A simple phenomenological model based on the common BCS approach is suggested, which is able to interpret nicely the experimental data.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
