Improvements in green technology innovation efficiency is the core factor to promote to shape new advantages in resource-saving and environmental friendliness under the new pattern of double-cycle development. It is also the main driving force needed to establish a high-quality development model of an efficient and sustainable economy. Taking 30 provinces of China as case samples, this paper establishes the appraisal system of green technology innovation efficiency. The first step is using the three-stage DEA model to measure green technology innovation efficiency. Then, according to the configuration perspective, the paper uses fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) to explore multiple paths for promoting green technology innovation efficiency. The findings are as follows: (1) A single factor of environmental support or technology supply cannot effectively stimulate the improvement of green technology innovation efficiency. Therefore, the impacting factors must be matched to jointly improve green technology innovation efficiency. (2) There are three configuration paths for high green technology innovation efficiency. Namely, they are the driven by economic environment and environmental regulation type; the driven by industrial structure and supply of finance type; and the driven by industrial structure, supply of finance, and supply of manpower type. (3) The paths to generate non-high green technology innovation efficiency can be summarized as one. The shortage of human resources and a poor economic environment are the main reasons for the inhibition of improvements in green technology innovation efficiency; additionally, the configuration of high and non-high green technology innovation efficiency is asymmetrical. On the one hand, our results are helpful for the study of the efficiency of regional green technology innovation at the provincial level. On the other hand, the results also provide practical solutions and a theoretical basis for provinces to promote regional green technology innovation efficiency under the new economic normal.
With the continuous advancement of digital globalization, enterprises need to seek development opportunities in the context of diversification and resource shortage. Frugal innovation provides a new way for enterprises to realize social value and create a win-win situation. Based on 113 enterprises’ survey data, fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) and necessary condition analysis (NCA) are used to explore the multiple concurrency factors and causality mechanisms of digital transformation, organizational resilience, learning from failure and design thinking for frugal innovation. It is found that: (1) Digital transformation, organizational resilience, internal learning from failure, external learning from failure and design thinking cannot effectively stimulate frugal innovation alone, and linkage matching of multiple antecedents is needed to promote frugal innovation. (2) There are three paths to producing high frugal innovation, namely, external learning from failure and design thinking driving under digital transformation learning from failure driving under design thinking guidance, organizational resilience driving under digital transformation. (3) There are two paths to produce non-high frugal innovation, which are asymmetrical with high frugal innovation path. Our results are helpful for the study of digital transformation and frugal innovation at the enterprise level. In addition, our research results also provide practical solutions and a theoretical basis for enterprises to carry out frugal innovation activities under the new economic normal.
In 2020, the new crown pneumoniaCOVID-19 epidemic swept the world, and it still has an impact on the production and lifestyle of various countries. Guiding enterprises to implement responsible innovation can enable enterprises to shoulder social responsibilities while innovating, resist the impact of the epidemic, accelerate countries to get out of the haze of the epidemic, and promote high-quality economic development. In this paper, three typical subjects of government, enterprise, and consumer are selected to construct an evolutionary game model, and prospect theory is introduced to explore the strategic choices and influencing factors of the three parties. Through the numerical simulation of MATLAB software, the following conclusions are obtained: in the early stage of policy implementation, the enthusiasm of enterprises to implement responsible innovation is not high; with the implementation of policies and the continuation of time, the enthusiasm of enterprises gradually increases; and the supervision role of the government and consumers gradually decreases. Appropriate government incentives and disincentives will promote enterprises and consumers to participate in responsible innovation. This paper explores the game process of government, enterprises, and consumers from a dynamic perspective, explores the decision-making process of all parties under the prospect theory, reveals the implementation process of responsible innovation and the factors affecting responsible innovation, and provides a theoretical reference for the implementation of responsible innovation model.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
