Summary Background Vitiligo is a common depigmentation disorder resulting from destruction of melanocytes, and has both genetic and environmental influences. Although genomic analyses have been performed to investigate the pathogenesis of vitiligo, the lipidomics, metabolomics and proteomics of serum have not been reported, and the role of small molecules and serum proteins in vitiligo remains unknown. Aim To study the metabolite and protein profiles in patients with vitiligo and healthy controls (HCs). Methods Plasma samples from 60 participants (29 patients with vitiligo and 31 HCs) were analysed. Untargeted lipidomics, metabolomics and isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantification‐based proteomics were performed using high performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry. In addition, to validate differentially expressed metabolites in patients with vitiligo, plasma enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay was performed. Results We identified differential expression of several metabolites and proteins involved in the immune system. Among these metabolites and proteins, lysophosphatidylcholine, platelet‐activating factor, sn‐glycerol‐3‐phosphocholine, succinic acid, CXCL4 and CXCL7 were significantly elevated in the plasma of patients with vitiligo, while aspartate was downregulated. Conclusion Our study has characterized several serum metabolites and proteins that could be potential candidate biomarkers in vitiligo, and provides a comprehensive insight into the role of immune system and aspartate metabolism in vitiligo.
The urgent approval of the use of the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine is essential to reduce the threat and burden of the epidemic on global public health, however, our current understanding of the host immune response to inactivated vaccine remains limited. Herein, we performed serum IgG antibody detection and transcriptomics analysis on 20 SARS-CoV-2 naïve individuals who received multiple doses of inactivated vaccine and 5 SARS-CoV-2 recovered individuals who received single dose of inactivated vaccine. Our research revealed the important role of many innate immune pathways after vaccination, identified a significant correlation with the third dose of booster vaccine and proteasome-related genes, and found that SARS-CoV-2 recovered individuals can produces a strong immune response to a single dose of inactivated vaccine. These results help us understand the reaction mechanism of the host’s molecular immune system to the inactivated vaccine, and provide a basis for the choice of vaccination strategy.
ObjectiveTo explore the influence of climatic, environmental and socioeconomic factors on SFTS occurrence in Shandong Province, China.MethodsWe used generalized additive model to estimate the association between SFTS cases and climatic factors, environmental factors and socioeconomic factors, including annual average temperature, precipitation, land cover, normalized difference vegetation index, altitude, population density, meat production, milk production, and gross domestic product (GDP).ResultsThere were a total of 4,830 cases reported in 100 (70.9%) counties and districts in Shandong Province from 2010 to 2020. The results showed that the annual average temperature, precipitation, forest and grassland coverage rate, altitude and meat production (square root transform) had a reversed “V” relationship with SFTS occurrence, with the inflection points around 12.5–13.0°C in temperature, around 650 mm in precipitation, around 0.3 in forest and grassland coverage rate, around 300 m in altitude, and around 200–300 tons in meat production (square root transform), respectively. SFTS occurrence had a “V” relationship with milk production (square root transform) and GDP (square root transform), with the inflection points around 100–200 tons in milk production (square root transform), and around 150,000–200,000 yuan in GDP (square root transform), respectively.ConclusionsClimatic, environmental, and socioeconomic factors contributed to the heterogeneous distribution of SFTS in Shandong Province, and the influence of these factors on SFTS occurrence was nonlinear.
Background: Green economy has been paid more and more attention in the information age. Informatization plays an important role in the development of green economy by the transmission of industrial structure rationalization and upgrading. Because of the spatial mobility of information, it is necessary to study the spatial spillover effect of information on the efficiency of green economy. In this paper, the non-radial directional distance function and the comprehensive index method are used to evaluate the efficiency of green economy and informatization respectively. On this basis, the spatial characteristics of the two are analyzed. Finally, the spatial econometric model is used to analyze the spatial impact of informatization on the efficiency of green economy. Results: The following findings can be drawn: (i)The spatial distribution of the green economy efficiency and informatization are unbalanced; (ii) There is a significant spatial spillover effect in the efficiency of green economy; (iii) The development of informatization plays an important impact on the efficiency of green economy. Conclusions: It can be seen that informatization plays an important role in the development of green economy, so we can get the following suggestions: (i) Developing green economy according to different conditions of different places. (ii) Establishing regional coordination mechanism of green economic development. (iii) Using informatization to promote the development of green economy.
This study examines the contradiction caused by the ‘local new year’ policy, that is, the conflict between the pandemic prevention policies and people’s emotional demands during the Spring Festival, based on the normalisation of pandemic prevention and control. It focuses on the scientific logical relationship with the contradiction that people voluntarily support ‘local new year’, to explore the primary driving factors of their willingness. By evaluating the migrant workers in large cities, the primary influencing factors were screened, and the primary dynamic factors and their relationship were obtained using the Logit logical selection model and maximum-likelihood estimation. The study identified, ‘whether social and entertainment activities are planned in migrant cities’, as the primary driving factor, followed by ‘whether there are relatives (elderly /children) at home’, and ‘contracting the infection during travel’. In view of this conclusion, this study further proposes corresponding policy suggestions: Relevant measures should be adopted according to different regions and the current situation of the pandemic in combination with the characteristics of the episodic and local nature of the pandemic. ‘Local new year’ is encouraged from the perspective of enriching people’s emotional needs for spiritual entertainment and care. This study provides a new perspective and theoretical basis for the research and formulation of policies related to the normalisation of pandemic prevention and control in China and worldwide, and has a certain practical reference value.
