During the various applications of MOFs, the photoluminescence properties of MOFs have received growing attention, especially for nitroaromatics (NACs) sensing. In this highlight, we summarize the progress in recent research in NACs sensing based on MOFs and sensing applications for nano-MOF type materials and MOF film.
A highly hydrophobic Cu(ii) MOF (UPC-21) was synthesized through a newly developed “diauxic growth” strategy. The multi-aromatic hydrocarbon units in the framework are responsible for hydrophobic character of UPC-21. Its application on water purification and oil/water separation was studied for the first time.
A porous Eu MOF with pH-dependent fluorescent emission and exhibiting selective adsorption and degradation of rhodamine B was synthesized and characterized.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
