To stimulate the development of the Internet of Health Things and the construction of a robotic automation system in the healthcare industry, the mobile robot selection problem for a hospital pharmacy is studied. We target the mobile robot selection as a multi-criteria decision-making problem. The VIKOR-based implementation steps integrating fuzzy extended analytic hierarchy process technique are developed. To avoid any loss of information and ensure the veracity of the VIKOR-based calculations, we employ the fuzzy ranking technique based on the degree of possibility to select the best mobile robot alternative by deriving the minimum fuzzy comprehensive utility value. The results of a case study and the accompanying sensitivity analysis show the effectiveness and robustness of the fuzzy extended VIKOR approach for the mobile robot selection problem.
Angelica biserrata is an important medicinal plant in Chinese traditional medicine. Its roots, which are known as Duhuo in Chinese, are broadly applied to treat inflammation, arthritis, and headache. With increasing market demand, the wild resources of A. biserrata have been overexploited, and conservation, assessment of genetic resources and breeding for this species is needed. Here, we sequenced the transcriptome of A. biserrata and developed simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers from it to construct a core collection based on 208 samples collected from Changyang-related regions. A total of 132 alleles were obtained for 17 SSR loci used with the polymorphic information content (PIC) ranging from 0.44 to 0.83. Abundant genetic diversity was inferred by Shannon’s information index (1.51), observed (0.57) and expected heterozygosity (0.72). The clustering analysis resulted into two sample groups and analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) showed only 6% genetic variation existed among populations. A further metabolic analysis of these samples revealed the main coumarin contents, such as osthole and columbianadin. According to the genetic and metabolic data, we adopted the least distance stepwise sampling strategy to construct seven preliminary core collections, of which the 20CC collection, which possessed 42 A. biserrata individuals accounting for 90.20% of the genetic diversity of the original germplasm, represented the best core collection. This study will contribute to the conservation and management of A. biserrata wild germplasm resources and provide a material basis for future selection and breeding of this medicinal plant.
Developing methodologies in the fields of phenomics and genomic prediction have the potential to increase the production of crop species by influencing germplasm improvement. The integration of these technologies into germplasm improvement and breeding programs requires evidence that there will be a direct economic benefit to the program. We determined a basic set of parameters, such as prediction accuracy greater than 0.3, the ability to genotype over 7 lines for the cost of one phenotypic evaluation, and heritability levels below 0.4, at which the use of genomic selection would be of economic benefit in terms of genetic gain and operational costs to the Kansas State University (KSU) winter wheat breeding program. The breeding program was then examined to determine whether the parameters benefitting genomic selection were observed or achievable in a practical sense. Our results show that the KSU winter wheat breeding program is at a decision point with regards to their primary means of selection. A few operational changes to increase prediction accuracy would place the program in the parameter space where genomic selection would be of greatest benefit to the program.
PurposeAs the number of joined service providers (SPs) in knowledge-intensive crowdsourcing (KI-C) continues to rise, there is an information overload problem for KI-C platforms and consumers to identify qualified SPs to complete tasks. To this end, this paper aims to propose a quality of service (QoS) evaluation framework for SPs in KI-C to effectively and comprehensively characterize the QoS of SPs, which can aid the efficient selection of qualified SPs.Design/methodology/approachBy literature summary and discussion with the expert team, a QoS evaluation indicator system for SPs in KI-C based on the SERVQUAL model is constructed. In addition, the Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method is used to obtain evaluation indicators' weights. The SPs are evaluated and graded by the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and rank–sum ratio (RSR), respectively.FindingsA QoS evaluation indicator system for SPs in KI-C incorporating 13 indicators based on SERVQUAL has been constructed, and a hybrid methodology combining DEMATEL, TOPSIS and RSR is applied to quantify and visualize the QoS of SPs.Originality/valueThe QoS evaluation framework for SPs in KI-C proposed in this paper can quantify and visualize the QoS of SPs, which can help the crowdsourcing platform to realize differentiated management for SPs and assist SPs to improve their shortcomings in a targeted manner. And this is the first paper to evaluate SPs in KI-C from the prospect of QoS.
Hyperaccumulators have exceptional phloem translocation capability for heavy metals. This study aims at quantifying the mobility and accumulation of Ni and Co via the phloem in the model hyperaccumulator Noccaea caerulescens. ‘Phloem loading capability (PLC)’, which is calculated by the ‘Metal content in phloem sap/Metal content in leaves’, was introduced to evaluate the metal phloem mobility, while ‘Phloem mobility value (PMV)’ was used for the normalization of PLC, which set the PLC of Sr as PMV 0 and that of Rb as 100. The results showed that the PMV of Ni and Co were 63 and 47, respectively. And the phloem mobility of Rb, Ni, Co and Sr could be graded as highly mobile, mobile, intermediate and immobile accordingly. The phloem stream can supply up to 19.1% and 16.0% of the total Ni and Co accumulated in the young leaves, respectively, whilst for Rb and Sr, the phloem contributes to 29% and 1.4% of the total Rb or Sr, indicating phloem contribution of certain metal is directly linked with its mobility. The results of this study raise the importance of phloem translocation on metal accumulation in shoots and provide insights on the metal cycling process in hyperaccumulators.
