The quality of Dendrobium nobile Lindl. is related to the endophytic fungus. It had 14reported that the mycorrhizal fungus MF23 helps to increase the content of dendrobine, but few 15 studies had explained the mechanism of the phenomenon. In previous study, we verified the 16 symbiotic mechanism of the mycorrhizal fungus MF23 with D. nobile on the agar medium. In this 17 study, the research carried on the bark medium, nearly like the natural environment, which had 18 special meaning because of its benefits for the widely application. As a result, it showed a 19 significant effect especially in the later period of the cultivation, suggesting that mycorrhizal 20 fungus MF23 had a promotion for D. nobile in the natural environment, which enabled the 21 application of the technique in the experimental field. It also implied that post-modification 22 enzyme genes might play an important role in stimulating biosynthesis of dendrobine.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
