Hot compression of AZ3l magnesium alloy was carried out at deformation temperatures of 523-723K and strain rates of 0.01-10s-1. The effects of deformation process on the microstructure and flow stress were investigated. The flow stress curves showed the characteristic of dynamic recrystallization (DRX) with deformation process parameters. Optical microscopy and TEM observations indicated that dynamic recrystallisation and twins structure were found during hot compression. Deformation mechanism of AZ3l magnesium alloy at elevated temperature was discussed in this paper.
Automobile wheel of A356 alloy was cast by low pressure casting process. The effect of heat treatment process on microstructures and mechanical properties of A356 alloy cast was discussed. The results indicated that optimal parameters of heat treatment process for A356 alloy included solution temperature of 535°Cand holding time of 4.5hours, aging temperature of 145°Cand holding time of 4hours. Ultimate strength of A356 is 270MPa and elongation rate is 10%. Meanwhile, the microstructure has been apparently improved. The eutectic silicon particle became more spheroidal and distributed uniformly in matrix.
Laser shock processing is an innovative surface treatment technique to strengthen metals. This process induces a compressive residual stress field which increases fatigue crack initiation life and stress corrosion cracking (SCC) resistance and reduces fatigue crack growth rate. The current status of research and development on laser shock processing of metals, using Q-switched high power lasers is reviewed. Then several key issues are addressed, including the development of the laser peening equipment and the opaque overlay selection and so on. Results to date indicate that laser peening has great potential as a means of improving the mechanical performance of components.
Antenna has two response modes of co-polarization and cross-polarization as well as the serious amplitude and phase error, the alternate orthogonally polarization jamming is presented from the perspective of polarization domain according to the processing characteristics of typical open-loop adaptive side-lobe cancellation. The basic idea and principle are introduced and analyzed.
