In traditional college classes, teachers collect the responses of students via questioning. With the expansion of the student population in China's higher education system, teachers are getting difficult to gather the information on the instruction effect. The importance of Instruction response system (IRS) in traditional teacher-oriented class is getting more and more recognized in college instruction activities. In this paper, the influential factors of selecting a IRS are summarized and an Analytical Hierarchy Process method model is established to prioritize the many different available IRS products, where price, transmission distance, battery capacity, and additional functions, are selected as the criterion layer factors. Based on the investigation of five available IRS, the AHP model is deployed to assist in the decision making process of the most suitable system. Two chief decision-makers are inquired to construct the judgment matrix, and the least costly system is found to be the most desirable one.
