Through applying the mixed‐ligand method, a new coordination polymer (CP) based on Zn(II) ions as metal nodes was synthesized under the hydrothermal reaction conditions, and its chemical formula is {[Zn(L)0.5(1,4‐bib)]·H2O}n (1) (H4L = 1,2,4,5‐cyclohexanetetracarboxylic acid and 1,4‐bib = 1,4‐bis[1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl]benzene). The photophysical research reflected that the complex 1 is a kind of potential semiconductor material. In addition, under the ultraviolet irradiation, complex 1 has high photocatalytic degradation efficiency for methylene blue (MB), and it reveals excellent recoverability and stability. Furthermore, the biological activity of the compound against brain damage caused by cerebral hemorrhage was evaluated. The real‐time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT‐PCR) method was conducted firstly to determine the prothrombin expression levels. Next, the inflammatory response in the brain tissue was assessed by determining the activation level of nuclear factor kappa‐B (NF‐κB) with western blot.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
