Résumé En 1998-1999, le documentaire télévisuel en Grande Bretagne a été fortement ébranlé par la révélation d’une série de falsifications qui discréditaient tout à la fois le média, les émissions et les responsables de programmes et qui relançaient la question des relations entre fiction et factuel dans les représentations télévisées. Analysant les facteurs, le déroulement et les conséquences de cette crise, l’article montre la complexité de la définition et des codes qui régissent la réception du genre, qui repose en définitive, moins sur des règles déterminées que sur un pacte de confiance entre le média et son public.
Cet article analyse le fonctionnement de la première Convention constitutionnelle irlandaise qui s’est tenue en 2013. On avait argumenté que recourir à une approche délibérative pour réformer la Constitution serait utile afin d’impliquer les citoyens dans les décisions tout en renforçant une légitimité démocratique affaiblie et en reconfigurant potentiellement la pratique démocratique. La Convention conduit à un référendum pour reconnaître l’égalité du droit au mariage (pour les personnes de même sexe) et l’Irlande devint le premier pays du monde à instituer ce droit par un vote populaire. Cet article examine toutes les facettes de la Convention à travers la grille d’analyse de la légitimité d’ input , de throughput et d’ output . Nos résultats montrent que deux des points qui furent initialement critiqués, la composition de la Convention et son mandat, se sont révélés innovants et ont contribué à sa légitimité sur de multiples dimensions.
Après cinq années de troubles économiques et sociopolitiques, le gouvernement grec de coalition, mené par le parti de gauche Syriza, décrète la tenue le 5 juillet 2015 d’un référendum soumettant aux citoyens le plan de sauvetage proposé par l’Union européenne. L’organisation du référendum est âprement critiquée et la campagne médiatique devient le terrain d’une lutte entre interprétations concurrentes du référendum. Cet article est une étude de la gamme des cadrages médiatiques au travers desquels la consultation est appréhendée dans les organes de presse grecs durant la semaine entre l’annonce et la tenue du vote. Elle montre comment ces différents cadrages peuvent être rattachés à la notion de crise, question centrale pour ce référendum grec.
