Objetivou-se neste trabalho realizar o levantamento fitossociológico de plantas daninhas em áreas de reforma de cana crua, mantidas em pousio após a utilização de três sistemas de manejo do solo em duas regiões do Estado de São Paulo. O trabalho foi conduzido no ano agrícola 2007/2008, em áreas de produção comercial nos municípios de Novais-SP e Guairá-SP. A última colheita da cana foi realizada na primeira quinzena do mês de julho de 2007. Utilizou-se delineamento experimental blocos casualizados, cujos tratamentos consistiram dos três sistemas de manejo de solo: convencional, cultivo mínimo e plantio direto. Após os tratamentos de preparo de solo as parcelas foram mantidas em pousio por período de 150 dias. Realizou-se a amostragem em cada parcela procedendo-se a identificação, contagem e coleta toda a parte aérea das plantas daninhas presentes. Os dados foram interpretados estatisticamente por meio de análise de variância e teste de Tukey, em seguida calculados os índices fitossociológicos. O sistema plantio direto proporcionou menor massa seca e menor número de plantas daninhas que os demais sistemas de manejo de solo nas duas regiões de cultivo. A região de Guaíra apresentou maior infestação de plantas daninhas que a região de Novais, onde a espécie que mais se destacou, apresentando elevado IVR, em todos os tipos de manejo foi a Cyperus rotundus L. A importância desta espécie decresceu com a utilização de manejos mais conservacionistas. A similaridade entre plantio direto e convencional foi menor nas duas regiões.

Nas últimas safras, um complexo de doenças, chamadas de doenças de final de ciclo da soja (DFC), vem provocando reduções consideráveis no rendimento da cultura. Atualmente, não há variedades resistentes a todos os patógenos causadores das DFC. Objetivou-se no presente trabalho avaliar o efeito da aplicação de fungicida em diferentes estádios reprodutivos, nos caracteres agronômicos e severidade das DFC em três cultivares de soja de diferentes grupos de maturação. O trabalho foi conduzido em área experimental da Universidade Federal de Viçosa. Foram realizados quatro tratamentos com fungicida sendo três aplicações em estádios reprodutivos diferentes (R5, R5,5 e R6) e a testemunha sem aplicação. As cultivares utilizadas foram: BRSMG Liderança, UFVS 2001 e UFVS 2003. Foi avaliado: altura da planta, altura da inserção da primeira vagem, número de nós por planta, número de vagens por planta, peso total da planta e peso de sementes. A severidade das DFC foi avaliada no estado R6 através de escala de notas. Os dados das avaliações foram submetidos aos testes de normalidade e homogeneidade não sendo necessário usar transformações. Realizou-se as análises de variância e as médias foram comparadas pelo teste de Tukey, a 5% de probabilidade de erro. Na avaliação da severidade das doenças, foi constatada a presença dos seguintes patógenos: Septoria glycines, Cercospora kikuchii e Peronospora manshurica. Para a avaliação das características agronômicas foi observado que a cultivar UFVS 2001 apresentou maiores alturas de planta. A cultivar UFVS 2003 apresentou maior número de nós e também maior produtividade de grãos, seguida pela cultivar Liderança. A aplicação de fungicida proporcionou o controle satisfatório de Septoria glycines no folíolo, quando realizada no estádio R5. A aplicação do fungicida proporcionou também aumento na produtividade de grãos, sendo os melhores resultados obtidos quando realizada no estádio R5 ou R5,5.

Fruit flies are the biggest obstacle in guava cultivation, with the monitoring of population a fundamental aspect for their management. The objective of this study was to assess the effectiveness of attractive lures for fruit flies in guava trees, produced in an organic system. McPhail traps were installed with 400 mL of solution, in four repetitions, and distributed in randomized blocks in six treatments: Isca Mosca® (5%); Isca Samaritá Tradicional® (5%); Torula® yeast; Bio Anastrepha® (5%); Ceratrap® and guava juice (50%), with 3 weekly reviews. Data on capture were subjected to analysis of variance, and averages were compared (Tukey 5%). The values of fly trap per day (FTD) were computed. The correlation between flies and meteorological variables were evaluated, as well as the monthly cost of lures. A total of 37,917 individuals from the genus Anastrepha and 122 species of flies Ceratitis capitata were collected, being Anastrepha spp. the main genus of fruit fly in the region. The Ceratrap product proved to be superior, followed by Torula, Isca Mosca, and Bio Anastrepha; Isca Samaritá and guava juice presented the lowest results. The standard trapping of females was like the total. The uniformity of attraction presented a drop in all treatments, and Ceratrap was more constant after seven days. The correlations between meteorological factors and population variation were positive and significant only for precipitation. The most expensive treatments (Ceratrap and Torula) were also the most efficient and selective, and the Ceratrap product required less manpower.

Eucalyptus plants are sensitive to stress factors in the initial growth phase. The plant growth regulator trinexapac-ethyl can provide gains to eucalyptus plants, a phenomenon known as hormesis. Thus, the aim of this work was to evaluate the effect of trinexapac-ethyl on the initial growth of two Eucalyptus urograndis clones (Clone 1 = I-144 and Clone 2 = 1407). The experiment was performed during 90 days after planting (DAP) of eucalyptus, in 100 L pots, with a randomized complete block design. The treatments were arranged in a 2 × 3 factorial scheme, with two eucalyptus clones and three trinexapac-ethyl doses (0, 30 and 60 g i.a. ha -1 ), with four replications. Fortnightly, plants height and stem diameter were evaluated. At 90 DAP, the leaf area and plants dry matter (DM) were evaluated. Clone 1 obtained leaf area and total DM 53% and 58% larger than Clone 2, respectively. The higher dose of trinexapac-ethyl provided mean gains of 30% in stem DM and total DM in Clone 1. For Clone 2, both doses of the product caused mean gains of 70% in stem DM, leaf DM and total DM. In conclusion, trinexapac-ethyl has a positive effect on the initial growth of E. urograndis, Clones I-144 and 1407. Clone I-144 showed higher growth than Clone 1407, regardless trinexapac-ethyl application. However, the Clone 1407 obtained more expressive gains with the application of trinexapac-ethyl, compared to Clone I-144.

Resumo -A renovação dos canaviais é importante para manter elevada a produtividade agrícola da cultura e é realizada em média após cinco cortes, com o objetivo de comparar o efeito residual das culturas de sucessão nos diferentes sistemas plantio sobre a ocorrência espontânea de plantas daninhas em área de reforma de cana crua, instalou-se o experimento sobre ARGISSOLO VERMELHO-AMARELO Eutroférrico, localizado no município de Novais-SP, em canavial colhido sem queima prévia nos últimos cinco cortes. Utilizou-se delineamento experimental blocos casualizados, com os tratamentos arranjados em parcelas sub-divididas, com quatro repetições. Os tratamentos principais consistiram dos três sistemas de cultivo; convencional, cultivo mínimo e plantio direto. Os tratamentos secundários foram constituídos de duas opções de adubos verdes (crotalária e mucuna) e uma parcela em pousio. Após 180 dias da colheita da cana-de-açúcar contou-se o número de plantas daninhas m -2 e determinou-se a massa seca da parte aérea, calculando seus índices fitossociológicos. Dentre os sistemas de manejo do solo o plantio direto mostrou um efeito supressor das plantas daninhas, resultando em menor número de plantas, menor massa seca de plantas e menor variedade de espécies, suprimindo espécies consideradas importantes na cultura da cana-de-açúcar, sendo o cultivo mínimo o tratamento intermediário e o plantio convencional o mais afetado pela comunidade infestante. Entre os adubos verdes plantados em sucessão a mucuna se destacou, sendo seu efeito supressor das plantas infestantes mais importante em áreas cultivadas com manejo de solo convencional. Plantio direto.Abstract -The renewal of plantations is important to maintain high agricultural productivity of the culture of sugar cane and is performed after 5 cuts. In order to compare the residual effects of crop succession in different planting systems on the spontaneous occurrence of weeds in the area of reform of sugarcane, the experiment was done on Acrisol eutrophic soil, located in the city of Novais, São Paulo, in sugar cane harvested without prior burning in the last five cuts. The randomized block design with treatments arranged in split plot and arranged in four replications was used. The main treatments consisted of three cropping systems, conventional tillage, minimum tillage, and no tillage. Secondary treatments consisted of two choices of green manure (sunnhemp and velvet bean) and a fallow plot. After 180 days of harvest of sugar cane was counted the number of weeds.m -2 and determined the dry mass of shoots, calculating their phytosociological index. Among the management systems of soil, the no tillage system showed a suppressive effect of weeds, resulting in fewer plants, less dry mass of plants and less variety of species, suppressing species that are considered important in the culture of sugar cane. Weed interference is one of the main factors responsible for reducing the productivity of the peanut crop. Among weed control methods, the chemical is considered one of the main tools, however, the herbicides registered for this crop are scarce. The objective of this study was to evaluate the selectivity of herbicides applied in post-emergence in Runner peanut cultivars. For this, an experiment was performed in an 11x5 factorial scheme, meaning 10 herbicides plus one control (without herbicide) and five peanut cultivars, with four replicates. Visual evaluations of phytointoxication were carried out at 7, 14 and 21 days after application of the herbicides. At the end of the experiment, was determined the dry mass of aboveground and root parts. ) have potential to be used for all the peanut cultivars studied. Herbicides hexazinone (2.50 kg ha-1), amicarbazone (2.00 kg ha ) must not be indicated, at these doses, for post-emergence spraying in the evaluated cultivars. The genotypes do not react equally to certain products, therefore, there is a need for further studies the at field conditions to attest the responses obtained in the present study and verify that the yield potential is not affected.

An increased incidence and severity of Orthotospovirus species has been observed in the peanut crop. The typical symptoms of the virus, usually known as ringspot in peanut and spotted wilt in other crops, include mosaic, chlorotic ring-shaped spots, necrosis, and plant stunting. This study aimed to verify the occurrence of this virus in peanut growing areas in the São Paulo State, Brazil, identify the predominant virus species, and determine losses resulting from the presence of this virus. Surveys were carried out in four peanut commercial areas sown in the municipalities of Santa Adélia and Cândido Rodrigues in the 2014/2015 season using the cultivar Granoleico. The following parameters were evaluated: plant stand, number of plants with symptoms, and severity of these symptoms through a scoring scale of visual symptoms. The results showed that the predominant virus species is Groundnut ringspot tospovirus (GRSV). Also, the lower the stand is, the higher the percentage of plants with virus symptoms. The mean incidence of GRSV in commercial peanut areas is 40%, with mean losses estimated at 38% when GRSV is present and 64% when there is the presence of virus and reduction in plant density. Conclui-se que quanto menor o estande maior a percentagem de plantas com sintomas da virose. A incidência do GRSV nas áreas comerciais de amendoim é em média de 40% sendo as perdas médias estimadas em 38% quando há a presença do GRSV e em 64%, quando há a presença do vírus e a redução na densidade de plantas.
