No mundo todo pessoas necessitam de transfusão de sangue por diversos motivos, a Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS) estima que nos países desenvolvidos uma a cada dez pessoas que entra em um hospital necessita de uma transfusão de sangue e em países subdesenvolvidos essa proporção é muito maior. No Brasil apenas 1,8% da população é doador de sangue, número distante do percentual considerado ideal pela OMS que é de 3% a 5%, esse número é preocupante. Este trabalho propõe a melhoria continua da gestão de serviços públicos relacionados à doação de sangue e medula óssea. Através de pesquisa da análise de gestão do estoque dos produtos que se originam do processamento do sangue e também através da análise das estratégias para a fidelização de novos doadores e da manutenção de doadores já fidelizados, tendo como objetivo a criação e implementação de um sistema que opera facilitando o dimensionamento dos estoques de hemocomponentes de forma a equalizar a demanda, a oferta, a previsão de demanda e também otimizar a comunicação entre pacientes, REDOMES e Hemocentros.
