The present investigation is born from a socioeconomic analysis on the productive chain of cocoa in the province of Cotopaxi canton Pangua, to know specifically about the daily working hours of the workers and the lifestyle of each member belonging to the different associations. To this end, the study was based on a quantitative approach, using data collection tools for producers and using secondary sources of information through data obtained from INEC and SIPA; thisinformation was used for the elaboration of linear correlation models, with the objective of selecting the ideal alternative for the decision-making that is in benefit and progress the cocoa sector, thus contributing to the community development of the inhabitants of the canton.
