Abstract: In modern communication systems the significance of the exact measurement of the channel impulse response and of the use of this information in a demodulator arise. An essential technical problem in wideband mobile radio systems, e.g. a car telephone system with digital speech and data transmission, is multipath propagation and shadings. Additionally the channel characteristics are non-stationary due to the mobile radio user's movement. Therefore in practice the impulse response measuring is repeated at short intervals and the coefficients of an adaptive equalizer are adapted to the new situation. If the transmission characteristics are well-known an adaptative equalizer is able to eliminate nearly all disturbing effects. This paper describes a technique for an absolute error-free measurement of the impulse response. In addition a chance is presented to combine this measurement with carrier synchronisation.Für die Dokumentation: Mobilfunk / Kanalstoßantwort / Mehrwegeausbreitung / Trägersynchronisation / Mismatched-Filter 1.
