This study entitled "Effect Analysis of Financial Experience and Income Level Toward Family Financial Behavior In District East Purwokerto. This study took a sample of 85 heads of families living in six villages in the district of East Purwokerto. The results showed financial experience have a significant positive effect on the behavior of the family finances. While the variable income levels have no significant impact on the financial behavior of families in East Purwokerto.
The aim of this study is to examine the effect of financial literacy and financial experience on SMEs financial behavior in Indonesia.The dependent variable is financial behavior while independent variables are financial literacy and financial experience. There are four control variables used, namely company size, business length, age and education level of SME owner. The respondent sample is 42 owners of SMEs in Purwokerto Selatan. This study used multiple regression analysis. The results showed that financial literacy has no effect on financial behavior. Financial experience has a positive effect on financial behavior. While among four control variables, only company size has a significant negative effect on financial behavior. Three control variables have no significant effect on financial behavior. The implication of this study, SME owners have good financial experience will increase financial behavior. Therefore, it is very important to improve the financial experience of SME owners
This study examines the effect of financial literacy and financial experience on financial performance using financial behavior as a mediator. One novelty of this research is to test the role of financial behavior as a mediating variable. The sample of this study was 91 SMEs located in Purwokerto, Indonesia. This study provides evidence of the positive effect of financial literacy on SMEs' financial behavior and financial performance. This study has not provided evidence of the mediating role of financial behavior on the relationship between financial literacy and financial experience on SME financial performance.
PENDAHULUANPentingnya UKM disadari begitu besar ketika melihat ketahanan ekonomi UKM yang begitu besar di beberapa belahan dunia. Menurut penelitian yang dilakukan HSBC bulan Mei tahun 2008 tentang perilaku bisnis UKM yang mengambil sampel dari 10 negara Asia Pasifik mengatakan bahwa ketidakpastian ekonomi tidak berpengaruh terhadap keputusan mereka berinvestasi secara regional. Perkembangan perilaku investasi seperti perekrutan karyawan baru, melabarkan investasi sampai ke mitra bisnis yaitu perdagangan dunia dan Cina dilakukan para UKM terutama pada negara Bangladesh, Indonesia, India dan Vietnam (Sembiring, 2008).Hasil penelitian dari Mujib (2010) tentang Analisis Faktor-faktor yang Berpengaruh Langsung dan Tidak langsung Terhadap Kinerja Usaha Kecil dan Menengah Studi Pada Pelaku UKM di Kabupaten Kebumen menemukan bahwa nilai kewirausahaan mempunyai pengaruh secara langsung positif terhadap kinerja usaha dan pengaruh tidak langsung positif terhadap kinerja usaha melalui strategi. Meskipun pemilik/pengelola usaha perempuan memiliki nilai kewirausahaan yang lebih rendah dari pada laki-laki namun dalam prakteknya, perempuan memiliki tingkat kinerja yang lebih tinggi dari pada laki-laki. Sebab, perempuan memiliki potensi dan keunggulan dalam menjalankan usahanya.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of financial literacy (knowledge), financial experience, locus of control, gender and family members towards financial behavior. Although study in financial behavior mayvary, the number of studies that investigate the relationship between financial behavior and family member variable is limited. Research data were collected by interviewing head of family in Purwokerto, Indonesia. The results revealed that financial knowledge, financial experience, and locus of control partially have a positive influence on financial behavior. This study was unable to provide empirical evidence of the effect of gender and the number of family members on financial behavior.
