A compreensão do conteúdo teórico e prático requer que o estudante do curso de biblioteconomia realize um estágio supervisionado para vivenciar diversas tipologias de bibliotecas. Bibliotecas escolares são caracterizadas como espaço de ensino-aprendizagem que permitem aos estudantes de biblioteconomia desenvolver habilidades e competências de leitura dentro de um ambiente acolhedor que possa promover o diálogo entre professores e estudantes da instituição de ensino. Apresenta relato de experiência na Biblioteca Patativa do Assaré do Colégio Objetivo de Juazeiro do Norte-CE, onde aborda as atividades, os materiais e o funcionamento da referida biblioteca. A vivência desse estágio ocorreu no período dos meses de Maio a Junho de 2017. Discute a importância do estágio para os discentes do Curso de Biblioteconomia e a experiência profissional no âmbito da biblioteca escolar, ressaltando sua importância para comunidade educacional. Esta pesquisa caracteriza-se como estudo bibliográfico e de campo, sendo de natureza qualitativa. O estágio também proporcionou a fundamentação das disciplinas teóricas do Curso de Biblioteconomia, em que o aluno tem a oportunidade de vivenciar sua teoria e aprimorar seus estudos. Desta forma, foi possível compreender a relevância da biblioteca escolar para além das estantes, onde o bibliotecário deve ser o protagonista das atividades executadas naquele espaço, criando e desenvolvendo projetos, envolvendo alunos com incentivo à leitura, o desenvolvimento de ações comunitárias, a apresentação de atividades culturais envolvendo a contação de histórias, por sua vez, produzindo conhecimento e aprendizado para os alunos, professores e profissionais envolvidos nas dinâmicas executadas.
