Enolisierbare P-Diketone zeigen ,,amphotere Halochromie", d. h. das Absorptions-Maximum der Enolfonn wird sowohl in alkalischer Losung wie auch in starker Schwefelsaure nach lingeren Wellen verschoben (mi-bzw. Oniurn-Halochromie). Bei trans-fixierten P-Diketonen gehen die Absorptionskurven im %-Bereich zwischen etwa +15 und -10 durch einen mehr oder wenigor ausgepriigten isosbestischen Punkt ; bei offenkettigen und ,,cis-fixierten" P-Diketonen iiberlagert daa Keto-Enol-Gleichgewicht die aniphoteren Neutralisierungs-Gleichgewichte. Durch Isolierung und Analpse kristalliner Perchlorate und Sulfate lieB sich erweisen, daB sich mit den genannten Sauren Enol-Oxonium-Salze bilden. Diese besitzen ein ehnlichea mesomeres Chromophor-System wie die Enolate, was die a nlichkeit der Absorptions-Kurven erkliirt.Die ,,Oniurn-Halochromie" von enolisierbaren P-Benzoyl-ketonen fiihrt zu einer groBeren bathochromen Verschiebung und Inten-sit&-Erhohung des Absorptions-Maximums als die ,,mi-Halochromie" der gleichen P-Diketone; ale Grund dafiir wird angesehen, daB sich nur im ersten Falle die Phenylringe am Zustandekommen des neuen Chromophors beteiligen.Aus den optischen Daten in Schwefelsiiuren verschiedener Konzentration wird die ,,Basizitiit" der P-Diketone berechnet.Beim Stehenlassen der stark sauren Lijsungen der P-Diketone treten hderungen der Spektren ein, die auf einer Saure-Spaltung in je eine Molekel Mono-Keton und Carbonsiiure beruhen.Die vorliegende Untersuchung befafit sich mit der Frage, in welcher Form sich enolisierbare P-Diketone in starken Siiuren, insbesondere in Schwefelsaure, losen. Es wird gezeigt, daD sich die P-Diketone gegen starke Sauren wie relativ starke B asen verhalten, waa sich in UV-optisch verfolgbaren Neutralisierungs-Gleichgewichten tiufiert, die weitgehend den Neutralisierungs-Gleichgewichten in alkalischen Losungen ahneln.Bevor wir auf unsere Versuche und Ergebnisse eingehen, sei k u n geschildert, was bisher uber die ,,baakchen" Eigenschaften von Mono-Carbonylverbindungen und die hderungen ihrer Lichtabsorption in aaurem Medium bekannt ist.Von g e s a t t i g t e n Mono-Carbonylverbindungen, wie Aceton, ist es bekannt, da13 sie Ansolvosiiurcn (,,Antibasen"l) ) an daa Carbonyl-Sauerstoff-Atom unter Bildung stiichiometrisch zusammengesetzter Molekiilverbindungen anlagern2). Die nucleophilen (,,basischen") Eigenschaften der Carbonylgruppe iiuBern sich ferner darin, daB sich zwischen den einmmen Elektronenpaaren des Carbonyl-Sauerstoff-Atom und den Wesserstoff-Atomen von OH-gruppenhaltigen Ltisungsmitteln Wwerstoff briicken bilden8). E istert , Re iss: Keto-Enol-Gleichgewichle [ Jahrg. 87 $-Xaphthol abfiltriert und mit Wasser gewaachen. Das Filtrat wurde dann rnit 2nHC'l auf pH 2.8 gebracht, die ausgefallene 1-Siiure abgesaugt, mit Wasmr neutral gewaschen und unter Zuaatz von weiteren 800 mg inakt. 1-Siiure aus Alkohol/\l'asser umkristallisiert. Schmp. 154-155O.U m l a g e r u n g d c s 2-Oxy-naphthalin-l-carbons~ure-[carboi~l-14C]-mo~~on a t r i u ms a1 z e s z 11 r 2.-0 x yn a p h t halin -3c a r b o n s a u r e -[14C] : 1.1 g des Nononatriumsalzes der radioaktiven 1-Siiure wurden unter normalem Kohlendioxyd in ein Bombenrohr von 37 ccm Inhalt eingeschmolzen und in1 elektrischen Ofen 6 Y a i . auf 240-250O erhitzt. Das iiberschiiss. Kohlendioxyd im Gasraum wurde vor dem C)ffiien des Rohres mit fliissigem Stickstoff kondensiert, daa Rohr aufgesprengt wid das Koh1t.ndioxyd mit einem Stickstoffstrom in eine Waschflaache mit Bariurnhydroxyd getriebcn. Der Inhalt des Hombenrohres wurde dann mit heiBem Wasser herausgelost, die Liisllng niit 2nHC1 neutralisiert und nach Ahkiihlen auf 100 das ausgefallene [j-Kaphthol abfiltriert. Ihs Piltrat wurde auf p H 2.8 gebracht und 1 Stde. unter R,iickfluU gekocht, iini die I-Siiure zu zerstiiren. Dav dabei entstandene WO, wurde in 13ariumhydroxyd ant'gefangen. Darauf wurde die Losung bei Raumtemperatur wieder mit Natriumhydrogtriirrtrbonat neut.ralisiert. Vom ausgeschiedenen @-Naphthol wurde abfiltriert und das Filtrat bei 700 mit 2nHC1 auf pn 2.8 eingestellt. Die beim Abkiihlen auagefallenc 3-S u r e wurde abgesaugt, mit Wasser neutral gewaschen und rtus Alkohol/Wasser umkristallisiert. Ausb. 15% d.Th.; Schmp. 281O.Es wird durch Bromtitrationen und ultraviolett-spektrosltopisch nachgewiesen, daD cyclische @-Dicarbonylverbindungen, demn beide Carbonylgruppen durch Einbau in einen 5-oder 6-Ring ,,tnrrwfiiiert" sind, so daB sie keine Endchelate bilden konnen, in OH-gruppenhnltigen Losiingsmitteln vollstiindig enolisiert sind, in OH-gruppenfreien Losungsmitteln aber mehr oder wcniger weitgehend in die Diketoform ubergehen. Die ,,trans-fixierten" 6-Dicarhonylverbindungen verhalten sich also beziiglich des Rinflusses des Losimgsmittels auf daa Keto-Enol-Gleichgewicht umgekehrt wie ihre offenlrettigen oder ihre ,,cia-fixierten" Analogen, bei denen &a Gleichgowicht ,in OH-gruppenfreien Losungsmitteln zugunsten der (chelatisierten) Nnolformen und in OH-gruppenhaltigen Losungsmitteln ziigunsteii iiicht-enolischer Formen lie@.Am Beispiel des Dimedons wird nltrarot-spektroskopisch nachgewiesen, daB der Enolgehalt trans-fixicrter P-Dicarbonylverhindungen konzentrations-abhangig ist : Verdiinnte Liisiingen enthalten relativ mehr Diketo-Form ale konzentriertere. Der durch Bromtitration bestimmte Enol-Gehalt verdiinnter L o s u n p i 1-on enolisierbaren Carbonylverbindungen ist bekanntlich oft in hohem MaBe \-on der Natur des Losungsmittels abhiingig.
