Social engineering is an attack on information security for accessing systems or networks. Social engineering attacks occur when victims do not recognize methods, models, and frameworks to prevent them. The current research explains user studies, constructs, evaluation, concepts, frameworks, models, and methods to prevent social engineering attacks. Unfortunately, there is no specific previous research on preventing social engineering attacks that effectively and systematically analyze it. Current prevention methods, models, and frameworks of social engineering attacks include health campaigns, human as security sensor frameworks, user-centric frameworks, and user vulnerability models. The human as a security sensor framework needs guidance that will explore cybersecurity as super-recognizers, likely policing act for a secure system. This paper intends to critically and rigorously review prior literature on the prevention methods, models, and frameworks of social engineering attacks. We conducted a systematic literature review based on Bryman & Bell's literature review method. We found a new approach in addition to methods, frameworks, models and evaluations to prevent social engineering attacks based on our review, which is using a protocol. We found the protocol to effectively prevent social engineering attacks, such as health campaigns, the vulnerability of social engineering victims, and co-utile protocol, which can manage information sharing on a social network. We present this systematic literature review to recommend ways to prevent social engineering attacks.INDEX TERMS Social engineering attacks prevention, systematic literature review.
Sistem informasi akademik Universitas XYZ merupakan terobosan terbaru dibidang pelayanan akademik. Sistem ini menyediakan berbagai informasi yang dibutuhkan oleh civitas akademika. Sehingga kebutuhan akan keberlangsungan sistem ini semakin penting. Permasalahan yang pernah ada di SI Akademik Universitas XYZ seperti berkaitan dengan celah kerawanan keamanan informasi. Jika permasalahan ini tidak dapat diperbaiki secara berkelanjutan, alhasil akan memberikan dampak ataupun risiko kepada keberlangsungan sistem ini, khusunya civitas akademika. Penelitian ini menggunakan NIST SP 800-30 sebagai metode yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut. Maka berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, Universitas xyz memiliki 1 tingkat risiko tinggi, 5 tingkat risiko sedang dan 52 tingkat risiko rendah.
SMP IT Madani is formed from LAZ Swadaya Ummah Riau Province. SMP IT Madani is a free school. The vision promoted by SMP IT Madani is as follows: "Becoming a model of educational institutions in empowering the Dhuafa who gave birth to the generation of the independent and outstanding Qur'an." Such a great vision does not make SMP IT Madani undo its steps to gets in the way. SMP IT Madani wants to make an improvisation of activity documentation technique, because so far what has been done is not maximal. Activity documentation is only limited to using official technology, without improvising that has the attraction. Because Middle School Madani has a target to find prospective students who have unique criteria, namely weak economic family but have functional academic abilities, this documentation can be used as a place for school promotion. The implementation of this activity was successful based on data from respondents. Respondents consisted of SMP IT Madani community. The implementation of this activity can be said to be successful, because KR value and KS before and after the implementation of the activity get a positive response, namely Value 1. This activity was successfully implemented and by the expected result.
SMP IT Madani has 10 teachers and 99 students till now. To improve the promotion of SMP IT Madani, various promotional activities have been carried out, one of which is the expo. Evaluation mechanism is not done optimally for promotion. Inappropriate promotion mechanism and evaluation that is not optimal, so that it will impact on school branding. Branding is a mechanism to highlight what is characteristic of the school as well as being a place for school promotion. The target of community service is to realize the school branding training for teachers and school management using information technology to the fullest. This activity has been successfully implemented, step by step carried out carefully. This activity also succeeded in carrying out knowledge transfer activities to our partners, namely SMP IT Madani. Knowledge transferred is how to do effective school branding. The evaluation of this activity is a measurement using the Guttman scale. The evaluation results show success by obtaining a value of 1 for each CS and CR scale.
