O osteoma é considerado uma lesão benigna, localizada ao longo do esqueleto crânio facial, de etiologia controversa, por inúmeras explicações relacionadas a sua origem, está presente em qualquer idade e sem predileção por sexo, podem ser solitários ou múltiplos e estar associado a síndromes. O diagnóstico é feito por meio de exame clínico, associado aos exames imaginológicos e histopatológicos. O tratamento do osteoma dependerá do seu tamanho relacionado à desfiguração facial e possível constrangimento, que consiste em remoção cirúrgica e osteotomia de modelagem. O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar um relato de caso de osteoma periférico causando assimetria facial em ângulo mandibular de uma mulher de 45 anos sem evidências clínicas (no momento do exame) de manifestações intestinais e cutâneas para o qual foi estabelecido que a lesão não estivesse associada à Síndrome de Gardner. O tempo de evolução da alteração estética e funcional imprecisa segundo a paciente; porém se tornou perceptível devido as grandes dimensões alcançadas, a assimetria facial foi determinante à procura de intervenção cirúrgica para sua resolução, e nos levou a apresentação do relato de caso, e revisar os casos publicados sobre não sindrômicos, osteomas periféricos do ângulo mandibular em literatura.
Tratamento cirúrgico de fratura mandibular em paciente pediátrico com material não absorvível -relato de caso Surgical treatment of mandibular fracture in a pediatric patient with nonabsorbible material -case report
RESUMO O Lábio duplo é uma anomalia rara de origem congênita ou adquirida por trauma, é caracterizada pela presença de um tecido hiperplásico, que se projeta formando uma dobra interna no lábio superior quando o paciente sorri ou quando o lábio está em repouso, acometendo com maior frequência o lábio superior. O tratamento cirúrgico está indicado quando ocorre comprometimento estético e funcional. O objetivo deste trabalho é relatar um caso de Lábio Duplo de origem idiopática, em um paciente, sem comorbidades, descrevendo e enfatizando o diagnóstico, evolução clínica e o tratamento dessa patologia. Paciente do gênero masculino, de 54 anos, sem histórico de trauma apresentando lábio duplo, apresentava como queixa principal alteração estética no lábio superior ao qual não permitia a utilização da prótese total superior, procurou o Hospital Regional de Tucuruí/PA, sendo atendida pelo serviço de CTBMF. O paciente foi examinado e diagnosticou com lábio duplo, ao qual o tratamento proposto foi a excisão cirúrgica. Concluiu-se que quando o paciente é submetido a excisão cirúrgica, apresenta benefícios estéticos e funcionais e relação a retenção da prótese no caso de reabilitação, uma vez que o diagnóstico e a abordagem cirúrgica sejam imediatos e constituem a terapêutica adequada.
Mucocele é uma lesão benigna pseudocística de retenção não neoplásica em glândulas salivares menores, comum em lábio inferior. Caracterizada pela ruptura do ducto glandular menor, ocorrendo extravasamento do muco ou saliva para o interior do tecido conjuntivo, de origem etiológicas diversas traumas ou inflamação de ducto salivar. Clinicamente nota-se lesão nodular de até 3 cm, circunscrito, de coloração translúcida ou vermelho-azulada, indolor e flutuante à palpação, com maior prevalência em lábio inferior. A modalidade convencional de tratamento inclui exérese da lesão, criocirurgia, eletrocauterização, marsupialização, injeção de corticóide, agentes esclerosantes, ablação por laser tem sido explorado. Porém os métodos de tratamento ditados na literatura são baseados nas características da lesão e podem variar de cirúrgico a conservador. Este estudo tem por finalidade relatar um caso clínico em que o paciente foi submetido a remoção cirúrgica de mucocele, com eliminação imediata dos sinais e sintomas relatados pelo paciente, pela técnica de Shira. Uma técnica não convencional, simples, barata e segura; pois garante a remoção completa da lesão, prevenindo a recidiva. A cirurgia apresentou pós-operatório e cicatrização satisfatória.
