O objetivo do presente trabalho é discutir a formação do docente em Direito nos cursos de graduação da região Norte de Minas Gerais, Brasil. A metodologia proposta foi aprovada por Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa local e envolveu pesquisa documental em websites das principais instituições da região e por contato direto para identificar os docentes de Direito, para posteriormente analisar o currículo Lattes de cada um. Os resultados mostraram que 83,9% dos Docentes em cursos de Direito possuem bacharelado em Direito, sendo os demais profissionais de áreas afins. Cerca de 30% dos docentes bacharéis em Direito lecionam em mais de uma instituição, apenas 7% não possui uma Pós-Graduação lato sensu e cerca de 40% não possuem nenhuma formação stricto sensu, sendo baixíssimo o número de doutores (5%). Há diferenças marcantes entre as formações docentes dentre instituições públicas e privadas nessa relação, mostrando maior titulação na rede pública. O quadro geral permite inferir que ainda há necessidade de maior atenção à formação docente específica para a área do Direito, reforçando tanto seus aspectos didáticos e de formação em pesquisa e extensão.
Repensar o ensino e a educação no Brasil de modo geral é imperativo visto que o paradigma no Brasil ainda é de um ensino com bases tradicionais. No ensino jurídico isso não é diferente, mostrando-se frequentemente formalista e com aprendizagem compartimentada pautada na acumulação de informações. A Extensão Universitária vive um momento de reconhecimento crescente como um verdadeiro pilar de formação intelectual na academia. Nesse contexto, o presente artigo pretende abordar e criticizar conceitos e aspectos formativos da atividade extensionista para um curso de Direito, mostrando a experiência exitosa da primeira liga acadêmica de Direito Constitucional na região extrema do Norte de Minas Gerais, fundada em uma instituição privada que é a mais próxima para uma grande população porém também cercada de desafios de acesso como o transporte e rodovias, além de limitações de tempo e finanças dos estudantes. Defende-se no texto a possibilidade de um outro olhar para o ensino aprendizagem pautado no discente como autor principal do processo.
O objetivo do presente texto é discutir os impactos dos direcionamentos do Consenso de Washington na precarização das condições de trabalho do docente de ensino superior no Brasil. Tal documento foi apresentado como forma de recomendações para a retomada do desenvolvimento das nações periféricas na década de 1990. Depois, transformou-se em exigências do Fundo Monetário Internacional (FMI) e do Banco Mundial para o fornecimento de ajuda aos países em crise, bem como para as renegociações das dívidas externas. Nesse contexto, surgiram diretrizes hegemônicas para a condução das reformas educacionais no Brasil. Medidas governamentais de descapitalização das universidades públicas e de favorecimento à expansão do ensino superior privado, cernes da precarização do trabalho da docência do ensino superior, possuem ligações lógicas com as direções político-econômicas do Consenso de Washington. As análises aqui registradas a partir dessa revisão de literatura não esgotam o tema, mas permitem concluir que há evidências reais de que o Consenso de Washington contribuiu para a precarização do campo de trabalho do ensino superior.
A criação de bancos digitais com fotomicrografias de preparados histológicos tem sido muito difundida entre várias instituições de ensino. Atlas digital, tecnologias de microscópio virtual (VM) e a telepatologia são materiais didáticos inovadores com grande potencial pedagógico para ensino e prática profissional, que, por sua vez, são baseados em Tecnologias Digitais de Informação e Comunicação (TDIC’s). O presente artigo objetiva discutir as TDIC’s que podem ser aplicadas nos estudos de morfologia microscópica, pautando-se em apontamentos literários pertinentes e na demonstração de ferramentas viáveis que tem sido estimuladas em uma instituição de ensino superior como estratégias mais dinâmicas e eficientes para o ensino das Ciências Biológicas e Médicas, mostrando as TDIC’s em articulação com a releitura do processo ensino-aprendizagem na contemporaneidade.
