Pulsed eddy current (PEC) detection technology has gained attention in the research and development of the nondestructive testing (NDT). In contrast to the conventional eddy current testing method, the PEC detection technology uses pulsed excitation that is characterized by the richness of frequency. So when the inner corrosion of the low-carbon steel pipeline is detected by the PEC technology, the insulation and protective layers outside the pipeline needn't be dismantled. In this paper, the relationship between corrosion size and the signal of PEC is simulated. The simulation results will provide reference for the quantitative detection of the corrosion.
Based on the method of distributed power control, a MAC protocol used for Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks (UW-ASN) has been proposed in this paper. It dynamically controls and adjusts data transmission power to overcome near-far problem in the networks adopting multiple access technique of CDMA. And it also improves traditional handshake mechanism to achieve high throughput and low energy consumption. Simulation results show that the performance of this new MAC protocol is more excellent than traditional MAC protocols.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
