Background: The Nemo-like kinase (NLK) is a serine/threonine-protein kinase that involved in a number of signaling pathways regulating cell fate. Variation of NLK has been shown to be associated with the risk of cancer. However, the function of NLK in oral adenosquamous carcinoma cells line CAL-27 is unknown.Methods: In this study, we evaluated the function of NLK in CAL-27 cells by using lentivirus-mediated RNA silence. The targeted gene expression, cell proliferation and cell cycle are investigated by RT-PCR, western-blot, MTT method, colony forming assay and flow cytometry analysis respectively.Results: After NLK silencing, the number of colonies was significantly reduced (54±5 colonies/well compared with 262±18 colonies/well in non-infected or 226±4 colonies/well in negative control group (sequence not related to NLK sequence with mismatched bases). Using crystal violet staining, we also found that the cell number per colony was dramatically reduced. The RNA silencing of NLK blocks the G0/G1 phase to S phase progression during the cell cycle.Conclusions: These results suggest that NLK silencing by lentivirus-mediated RNA interference would be a potential therapeutic method to control oral squamous carcinoma growth.
We report here the electrical and UV‐photoelectrical performance of transparent indium zinc oxide (IZO) thin film transistors with solution‐processed zirconia (ZrO2) dielectric. The channel layers were deposited by magnetron sputter at room temperature. The ZrO2 dielectric was deposited by solution process under ambient conditions followed by low temperature annealing. The films were structurally characterized by X‐ray diffraction and atomic force microscope. Good device characteristics have been obtained with a field effect mobility of 30.7 cm2 V−1s−1, a current on/off ratio of 105, a threshold voltage of 0.8 V, and a sub‐threshold swing of 30 mV decade−1. A resistor‐load inverter was fabricated and shows reasonable transfer characteristics with a gain of about 5 at supply voltage of 2 V. It was observed that the transistors are sensitive to UV illumination. When exposed to ultraviolet light with an intensity of 120 µW cm−2, the photo‐to‐dark current ratio was more than 104 in the depletion region. All the above features make IZO thin film transistor a promising candidate to be also used as a UV‐photo transistor.
Small compressor blades of titanium alloy are important mechanical structural components of advanced aircraft engines. In the present study, the preheating scheme and the forging process of the small compressor blade were modeled by the commercial software DEFORM3D and the forging experiments were conducted on a 10,000KN screw press. The results show that the reasonable preheating temperature for the small blade should be controlled in 960-970°C. The geometric shape and size of the blade preform influenced not only overlap and underfilling defects but also the dimensional precision of small compressor blade forgings. On this basis, the optimized geometric shape of the blade preform was obtained and the compressor blades were well formed by limited forging process experiments.

Regeneration technology for waste rubber has been an important research subject in rubber industry for many years, but currently the enterprise mature reclaimed technology, mostly existence of high pollution, high energy consumption problem, can not meet the requirements of energy saving and environmental protection. This paper adopts the electromagnetic induction dynamic desulfurization technology, but do not add coal tar and other toxic additives, for the production of high strength reclaimed rubber to meet the requirements of high strength conveyor belt , which meets the tensile strength can reach 14MPa , the elongation at break up to 350%, Mooney viscosity 60-80 and other technical requirements.
