No ambiente escolar, percebe-se que ainda há dificuldade por parte dos professores para trabalhar com alunos com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA). Um aspecto que ainda se configura um desafio a ser vencido pelos docentes é a elaboração de práticas educativas que atraiam a atenção desses alunos e que contribuam no processo de aprendizado dessas crianças. O presente estudo tem como objetivo conhecer e compreender as práticas educativas no ensino regular para alunos autistas, levando em consideração que é um tema de suma importância para o processo de inclusão dessas crianças no contexto escolar. Como instrumento de coleta de informações, foi realizada entrevista com professores de uma escola de ensino fundamental da rede municipal da cidade de Caxias – MA, que tinham alunos autistas matriculados em suas salas de ensino regular. Evidenciou-se nos relatos dos professores a presença de adaptações dos conteúdos em suas aulas. Esse é um aspecto positivo, pois os professores estão buscando formas para que o aluno compreenda o assunto repassado. Constatou-se também que os professores não têm recebido nenhuma capacitação oferecida pela escola ou pelo município para trabalhar com alunos autistas. Pode-se notar que nesse ponto a escolar regular está deixando a desejar. Verifica-se a necessidades de nova investigações sobre o tema em questão, visto que há uma busca por práticas educativas e metodologias que envolvem o ato de ensinar alunos autistas.
