This article analyzes so-called academic or university literary criticism, both its strength (regarding theory) and its weakness (regarding marketing), to outline several questions that reflect on the direction taken by what is still called literature, emphasizing its community (and thus post-national) dimension as a condition for the possibility of another form of current literary and cultural criticism. In this discussion certain concepts, ideas and observations are used, such as those of community and immunity (Roberto Esposito), the sensitive and emancipated spectator (Jacques Rancière), post-autonomy (Josefina Ludmer), and espetáculos de realidad (Reinaldo Laddaga).
