Accidents happen easily in curved channel where flow pattern is very complex. The factors which affect accident’s happening in curved channel are analyzed; navigation reliability model is put forward and advices are given for improving navigation reliability in this paper.
The development of waterway transport is supported strongly by China's inland navigation standards, but there are deficiencies in inland navigation standards. The inadequacies of China's inland navigation standards are analyzed in this paper, and suggestions for improving standards are put forward, this paper provides a reference to the amendment of inland navigation standards.
Rough seas can bring adversely affects to ships safety navigation. Adversely affects on ship torsion vibration caused by rough seas is analyzed, and measures to decrease these adversely affects is also put forward as to provide references for seaman in this paper.
Orifice plate energy dissipater, as a kind of effective energy dissipater with characteristics of economic, has become welcomed more and more by hydraulics researchers. Although many researches have been conducted on orifice plate’s hydraulic characteristics, there are many other issues, which are closely related with orifice plate’s energy loss and cavitations, needed to be solved. Some issues on orifice plate’s hydraulic characteristics have been put forward in this paper so as to strengthen research in this field.
Bridge construction can promote economic development, but if the bridge layout is unreasonable, it would hinder ship’s safety navigation in the bridge area. There is little reference for fairway width design about curved bridge channel in inland river navigation standards of China. The fairway conditions for ship safety navigation in bridge waters were discussed in this paper, and the mentioned determination methods for fairway dimension in bridge waters in this paper can provide some reference to solve other channel design problem.
