Juni 1930.)Bringt man Acetylen oder Diacetylen mit den waBrigen Losungen von Salzen der unterchlorigen oder unterbromigen Saure zusammen, so werden irberraschend schnell und glatt die beiden Wasserstoffatome gegen das Halogen der Saure ausgetauscht. Es entstehen die Halogen-substituierten Kohlenwasserstoffe vom Typus X . C i C . X bzw. X. C i C . C i C . X (X = Halogen) nach der Gleichung: C,H, + 2NaOX --f C,X, + zNaOH.Die Reaktion ist nicht nur an die beiden Grundkohlenwasserstoffe selbst gebunden, sondern hat sich bei allen ihren Abkommlingen, wie z. B. den Mono a1 k y 1 -D e r i v a t e nl), u. a.wiedergefunden, sofern das Molekiil nur no& ein an dreifach gebundenem Kohlenstoff haftendes und daher durch Metalle substituierbares Wasserstoffatom enthalt, sie ist also fur den positiven Wasserstoff der Acetylene allgemein und charakteristischz).In ihr Wesen gewinnt man Einblick, wenn man zunachst festhalt, daB die f r e i en unterhalogenigen Sauren nach zahlreichen Untersuchungen 3 , prinzipiell anders reagieren und sich re& glatt unter Bildung dihalogensubstituierter Carbonylverbindungen an die 3-fache Bindung addier e n , auch wenn ein Acetylen-Kohlenstoff noch Wasserstoff tragt ; R . C i CH -+ (R.C(OH),.CHX,) + R.C0.CHX2; in dieser Additionsreaktion verhalten sich die Acetylene also wesensgleich mit den khylen-Abkommlingen 3.Die Substitution der Acetylen-Wasserstoffe ist dagegen eine Reaktion der unterhalogenigsauren S alze, verlangt also alkalische Reaktion des Mediums. Wir verwendeten sie gewoMich in einer Normalitat zwischen 0.5 bis 0.7, und bei Gegenwart von 4 Mol. freien Alkalis, wir haben uns aber in einzelnen Fallen iiberzeugt, daB man die Alkalirnenge bis auf 8Mol. steigern, d. h. im SchoBe von ca. 23-proz. Alkali arbeiten kann, ohne die Geschwindigkeit der Umsetzung merklich zu beeinflussen; und wenn gelegentlich, wie z. B.bei der Chlorierung des Acetylens, sich eine Ausnahme abzuzeichnen schien, so verschwand sie bei geniigend hoch gesteigerter Konzentration des Alkalis. In derart stark alkalischen Lijsungen kann eine Hydrolyse der Hypohalogenite a d e r Betracht bleiben5). Dann aber bleibt nur ubrig, in der Urnsetzung eine Reaktion des Hypohalogenit-Ions zu sehen und sie wie folgt zu formulieren: R.C i CH + XO' -+ R.C i CX + HO', d. h. das positive Halogen des Ions wird gegen Wasserstoff ausgetauscht.
