Das Bruchverhalten von Polypropylen wurde in einer Modell‐Zerkleinerungsapparatur bei Rotorumfangsgeschwindigkeiten bis 40 m/s und Rotormesser‐Keilwinkeln von 30°, 55° und 80° untersucht. Je nach Keilwinkel zeigt sich eher ein Versagen durch Zug‐ oder Schubspannungen, was einen signifikanten Einfluss auf die erforderliche Zerkleinerungsenergie hat. In der Bruchoberfläche können verschiedene Zonen nachgewiesen werden, die in Zusammenhang mit der benötigten Trennenergie gebracht werden können.
