Strategic Information Systems Planning (SISP) has been a topic of considerable importance and interest to Information Systems (IS) professionals since the 1970's and consistently ranked as a top issue for IS executives in both developed and developing countries. Studies have shown that SISP can assist manager in defining the information systems, develop IS strategy, and allocate resources for IS strategy. However, the use of SISP in healthcare sectors in developing countries like Bangladesh is underdeveloped and under-researched. This study examined the benefits of SISP in healthcare organization in developing countries in general and Bangladesh in particular. This study also focused on the current practice and key implementation challenges of Strategic Information Systems Planning (SISP) in healthcare sectors in developing and transitional economies. Finally, some recommendations are proposed to overcome the challenges using a ‘hybrid’ approach.
Leather is a unique commodity that links grassroots villages with high societies and traditional practices with emerging technologies. For many developing countries, leather and leather manufacturers constitute an indispensable and dependable source for export trade and foreign exchange earnings. For Bangladesh, leather is a high priority industrial sector and footwear exports, an extreme focus area. Bangladesh has, just few decades since Independence, made significant gains from the leather trade, progressing from the status of an exporter of 90% plus raw hides and skins to that of an exporter and predominantly leather product manufacturer. However, there is little systematic research into this sector. This study is trying to address the research gap by seeking to understand the current status, problems and prospect of leather industry in Bangladesh.
Artificial intelligence-driven cryptocurrencies are cryptocurrencies created by Artificial intelligence using the traditional human cryptocurrency development framework without human intervention. An AI explores the data from each different stream and arriving at the framework which can host these cryptocurrencies following the standards of legality. Cryptography is the encryption of specific data to conceal it and keep it a secret from unwanted third parties. Cryptocurrencies are encrypted currencies with unique keys as developed by developers. Artificial intelligence is an advanced machine programmed to simulate and emulate human intelligence by carrying tasks and reaching conclusions with little or no human intervention. This work considered the use of AI through machine learning and deep learning in the development of cryptocurrencies. The AI machine will set all the parameters and structure of the cryptocurrency. This will include how data is added, removed, and verified on the stream. Blockchain is an open ledger of a cryptocurrency's transactions. It stores files in the system, arranged in blocks, and connected on a list called chains. The article considers how AI-driven cryptocurrency will run using the blockchain network and its impact on it. Artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency are technological very essential technological development currently. The effect of the combination of both technologies would be enormous in the future as both technologies will develop each other remarkably.
The government of Bangladesh (GoB) recently have introduced the concept of Digital Bangladesh. Education is one of the most vital sectors to make the digital nation. For that reason, the GoB has started to convert primary to e-primary schools. The main objective of this study is to investigate the current Information and Communication Technology (ICT) implementation status in e-primary schools by the GoB. The study is quantitative in nature. The study also develops an ICT implementation status model from the eprimary school systems in Bangladesh. This model has identified the ICT equipment, analyzed the ICT support & equipment, given weighted to each factor and investigated the current state of ICT implementation of eprimary schools in Bangladesh. The study has taken 800 sample schools from 8 divisions to investigate the current ICT implementation status. The study suggested that before implementing the ICT they will make sure all the infrastructure of ICT is available in those primary schools.
