Resumo-Este artigo apresenta os resultados experimentais de transmissão de ondas ultrassônicas por uma barra cilíndrica de aço inox 304 de 1 m de comprimento, utilizando multiplexação Ortogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). O sinal OFDM, modulado em amplitude, excita a barra através de transdutores piezoelétricos com frequência de operação de 500 kHz e largura de banda 150 kHz. Usando modulação em quadratura e equalização zero forcing, obteve-se uma taxa máxima de transmissão de 240 kbps, para uma taxa de erro de 10-3. O multiplexador e o demultiplexador OFDM, o modulador e o demodulador em Amplitude foram implementados em MATLAB.
