This study aims to evaluate the healing effect of topical Apigenin cream 2% in the skin of rabbits. Twenty Four healthy Newzealand adult male rabbits approximately at the same age were involved in this study. All animals were anesthetized using a mixture of 40 mg/kg ketamine injection and xylazine 4 mg/kg intramuscularly. The skin of the dorsum area of each rabbit was shaved; then, three incisions (1cm in length) were made. Wounds were left without suturing to heal by secondary intention healing, and each animal had three wounds (wounds divided into three groups according to the type of treatment): one treated with Apigenin cream twice a day, the other with cold cream twice a day, and the third wound was left untreated. The application of cream was repeated daily; the wound size and the ratio of wound contraction were assessed at the first, fourth, and seventh days of study. The results revealed that the group treated with apigenin showed significantly better wound healing capacity in the skin of rabbits; wound size and wound contraction ratio was superior in the Apigenin group compared to control positive and negative groups. It can be concluded that apigenin cream has beneficial value for improving the wound healing potential of skin in rabbits.

This study aims to evaluate the effect of the topical application of hyaluronic acid cream 0.2% in the skin wound healing in rabbits. Thirty two healthy New Zealand adult male rabbits approximately at the same age and weight were involved in this study; all animals were anaesthetized using a 40 mg/kg ketamine and xylazine 4 mg/kg injection intramuscularly. The skin of the dorsum area of each rabbit was aseptically prepared and then two incisions (1cm in length) were made on the skin. Wounds were left without suturing to heal by secondary intention healing. Each animal had two wounds (wounds divided into two groups according to the type of treatment): one treated with hyaluronic acid cream twice a day, the second wound was left untreated. The application of the cream was repeated daily. Rabbits were divided into 4 groups according to sacrifice days; every eight rabbits were sacrificed in days 1st, 3rd, 7th, and 14th days, biopsies were taken and sent for histological assessment. Group treated with hyaluronic acid showed significant improvement in wound healing capacity in the skin of rabbits; granulation tissue formation and reepithelialization were significantly improved in the hyaluronic acid group compared with the control group in the 3rd and 7th days. Also, Reepithelialization in the hyaluronic acid group was better on the 14th day of this study compared with the control group. Hyaluronic acid cream increases the rate of wound healing in the skin of rabbits.

Aims: the current paper examines the topical effect of Coenzyme Q10 ointment in mice. Materials and Methods: Fifteen well male albino mice with equivalent age were designated for this research. The animals were divided into 3 clusters of five animals for each group. Group one worked as a control and was applied Vaseline ointment topically on skin wound. Groups; two and three were applied topically Coenzyme Q10 ointment 4%, 8% respectively on skin wound. These applications were repeated every day. The wound size and wound contraction ratios were measured in 1 st , 4 th , 7 th days of the experimental procedure. Result: There were significant differences between groups in wound size and wound contraction ratios. The groups were treated with Coenzyme Q10 in different concentrations. They are better in rating the wound healing. Conclusion: The topical application of CoQ10 in different concentrations encourages the wound curing in the soft tissue of mice.

In this study, triamcinalone acetonide was applied topically in the tooth socket following surgical removal of teeth to evaluate its anti-inflammatory effect. Materials and Methods: Forty medically fit patients were selected with an age range between (18-50) years of both genders, non smoker, no pregnant or lactating woman. The patients were divided equally into a trial and control group. Surgical extraction was done for all patients. In the first group, the socket was covered with a piece of sterile gauze (2 X 2 cm) impregnated with triamcinalone acetonide ointment %1. In the control group, the extracted socket was covered with sterile gauze only. The sterile gauze was removed 24hrs postoperatively. Postoperative pain and swelling were examined in 1 st , 2 nd and 7 th days. Results: Mann-Whitney test revealed no significant difference in the pain level and swelling at the 1st day but with a significant difference in the 2nd and 7th days between both groups. Conclusions: The pH of saliva in male patients with (RAU) was more toward acidic pH than normal male subjects.

Aims: is to evaluate the linear distance accuracy of new modified closed tray impression technique of 6 angled implants and compared with open tray technique using condensation silicone impression material. Materials and Methods: : standard master model was prepared with six angled implants analogues (25 degree) buccaly and labial deviated .Two impression techniques were performed (open tray and new modified splinted closed tray) using condensation silicone impression material , then poured with die type IV stone. Capturing of the standard model and stone casts produced from both impression techniques. To perfume the measurement, first determine and label the reference points and reference line on standard model then measure the linear distances and angles with Matalab software program (7.12.0.635(R2011a). The entire measurements of the stone models were done by coordination way of implants analogues in sequence .Total number of impressions was ten, five impression for each technique. Statistically one sample t-test and two sample t-tests were performed to determine the significance differenc at p ≤ 0.05. Results: appeared there is no significance difference of the linear distances and angles of standard model and stone casts for open tray and a new modified closed splinted techniques. Conclusion: A new modified closed splinted technique is an accurate impression technique for multiple angled (6) implants as same as the open tray technique with condensation silicon, so a new technique is an accurate and easier technique to be carried out with multiple angled non-parallel implants.
