This paper discusses about sustainable tourism creative initiative in the era of social media & digital settings The essence of a tour is an unusual experience, therefore an authentification of tourist attractions is one of the competitive advantages to meet those needs. So many tourist attractions process and develop to reach that goals without regard to environmental sustainability. Moreover, coupled with the ease of access from social media, tourism actors only aim for bussiness and management excellence. The location of this discriptive qualitative analysis research is in Ponggok Village, Klaten Regency. This study highlights the problem of how perspective of tourism development that shapes identity and meets the needs of today’s digital settings while still paying attention to environmental sustainability. It is necessary to develop scenarios to achieve optimal tourism offers. The purpose of writing this research is to know the perspective of scenario development to get a sensation on a tour by entering aspects of the identity of a place and as a discourse of digital settings. In effort to provide answers, the posibilities for implementation of these technologies for the purpose of research area increasing and have the power to change tourism mobility research as it stands today.
The characteristics of the façade are architectural elements in the diversity of shapes of each building. Architectural Typology is an approach to identify architectural attributes to define the similarities and differences of elements in a building object. In the area of Loji Wetan Surakarta which has a connection with the Vastenburg fortress, there are still some colonial buildings of Dutch heritage that still exist. This study aims to identify typology on the façade of colonial buildings in the Loji Wetan area of Surakarta. The data collection process is conducted through field observations and in-depth interviews. Collection of primary data through purposive sampling (visual and measurement). While secondary data through the study of literature and related documents. Based on the results of research characteristics of architectural typology in colonial buildings in the Loji Wetan Surakarta area there is a tendency for uniformity and diversity on the façade of architectural elements. There are also differences in the characteristics of buildings caused by periods in the area. (neo-gothic, neoclassic, postmodern)
Solid waste is an important issue in the urban area that is in line with the increasing of resident’s number and the population activities. This study aims to analyze the problem and aspect related to waste management including operational-technical aspects, institutional aspect, legal and regulatory aspects, and community participation aspect in Bondowoso Regency. This study was descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The Data collected by literature study then analyzed qualitatively. There are laws correlated to solid waste management in Bondowoso, consist of: 1) Law No. 18 of 2008 on Solid Waste Management, 2) Law No. 32 of 2009 on the Protection and Environmental Management, 3) Government Regulations No. 81 of 2012 on Management of Domestic Solid Waste and Domestic-Like Solid Waste, 4) Local Regulations No. 3 of 2011 on Solid Waste Management In Bondowoso, and 5) Regent Regulation No. 82 of 2018 on Strategy and Policy Management of Domestic Solid Waste and Domestic Like Solid Waste. In addition, the Government of Bondowoso Regency has done many aspects of solid waste management, namely legal aspects, operational technical aspects, institutional aspects, and public participation.
Climate is one of the most important factors to consider in house design. Climate in Indonesia has a relatively hot air temperatures, high solar radiation and high humidity. Javanese-Indische building is one of the architectural products of the past having a high quality of adaptability to the Indonesian environment. The application of the Javanese space and the colonial form created buildings in Laweyan as the best architectural description of its time. This article is intended to reveal thermal performance in one of the Javanese-indische buildings in Laweyan, the Atmowikoro house built in 1818. The aim of the study is to review the extent to which climate considerations in building a Javanese-Indische house were carried out by the Laweyan people at that time. The method employed was the quasi-experimental method using Ecotect software to take thermal measurements of Atmowikoro buildings. Atmowikoro house has the ability to adjust the thermal movement in tropical climate. The reduction in temperature is evidenced by the presence of an average thermal difference in the environment, 3.7°C higher in the dry season and 3.8°C higher in the rainy season than that of the temperature in the building.
A mosque is a cultural product related to the system of ideas and activities of the community. Physically, the form of the Surakarta Grand Mosque is based on a view of life rooted in the beliefs of Javanese people’s religion, who have Islamic-Javanese religious beliefs. In particular, this study aims to identify and analyse elements of Javanese architecture that are applied to the spatial patterns of Surakarta Grand Mosque building. This study uses qualitative descriptive methods with narrative approaches. The study concludes that elements of Javanese architecture in the spatial pattern of Surakarta Great Mosque building have spatial pattern characteristics similar to traditional Javanese houses namely the Joglo House. From the architectural elements of Surakarta Great Mosque building there are local wisdom values that can be taken namely the value of truth, moral value, aesthetic value, and religious values.
