Zur quantitativen Schnellbestimmung chemischer Stoffe eignen sich bekanntlich besonders spektralkolorimetrische Methoden, die bei Verwendung geeigneter Apparate je n~ch dem Grad der Automatisierung in kurzer Zeit recht genaue Werte ergeben. Je hShere Anforderungen an die Gen~uigkeit oder an die untere Erf~Bbarkeitsgrenze gestellt werden, um so rigoroser werden allerdings aueh die Forderungen, die an das Spektralkolorimeter bzw. -photometer selbst zu stellen sind. Zwecks Erzielung einer groBen Genauigkeit ist besonders auf die Konst~nz der Betriebsspannungen und auf eine geeignete Dehnung des Anzeigebereiehes Wert zu legen, zwei Faktoren, denen wie vor kurzem gezeigt werden konnte --auch mit rel~tiv einfachen l~I~Bnahmen schon weitestgehend Rechnung getragen werden kannl, ~.In vorliegender Arbeit sollen im wesentliehen die bisherigen kolorimetrischen ~ethoden hinsichtlich der M6glichkeit einer Mikrobestimmung yon Sulfidionen (Schwefelwasserstoff und Alkalisulfide) n~her iiberpriift werden, besonders in Hinblick auf die Verwendung in halboder vollautomatisch registrierenden Gasanalysatoren.Um den optimalen Spektralbereich fiir die obj ektive Kolorimetrierung kennen zu ]ernen, wurde besonderer Wert auf die Ermittlung der Absorptionskurven gelegt.Die in der Literatur bekanntgegebenen Methoden mSchten wit in zwei Kategorien teilen, und zwar in die der eigentlichen Farbreaktionen und in jene der Bildung kolloidaler, gef~rbter Metallsulfide; ferner wollen wit differenzieren zwischen ,,farblosen" und ,,farbigen" Reagenzien.
Polystyrolen verschiedenen Polymerisationsgrades ergaben eine Adsorptionsisotherme, die sich bei kleinen Konzentrationen weitgehend durch die Freundlichsche Formel wit einem Exponenten -1 darstellen laBt. Ein Parallelversuch mit Toluol -quasi ein Model1 fur den monomeren Baustein -ergab ebenfalls gute Ubereinstimmung mit der Freundlichschen Formel (n -0,55). Das Polystyrol unterscheidet sich von dem niedermolekularen Toluol vor allem dadurch, da13 es schon fruher einem endlichen Sattigungswert der Adsorption zustrebt. SUMMARY:The investigation of the adsorption of polystyrene of various D P yielded an adsorption isotherm in good accord with the formula of Freundlich ( I + .=-Ht-f. Another test with toluene -as model for the monomer -gave likewise good agreement with Freundlich's isotherm (n -0,SS). The main difference is that the high molecular samples reach earlier saturation.Adsorptionsvorgange von makromolekularen Substanzen an aktiven Oberflachen besitzen hohes praktisches Interesse und zwar sowohl der Adsorptionsvorgang von Makromolekiilen an porosen Stoffen als auch die Adsorption von noch loslichen kurzkettigeren Fraktionen an den nur mehr quellbaren, sehr hochmolekularen Anteilen (aktive Koagele). Solche Adsorptionsvorgange, um nur ein praktisches Beispiel zu nennen, spielen z. B. beim Abpressen der Alkalicellulose -sowohl im grol3tech-nischen ProzeB als auch im Laboratorium bei der a-Gehaltbestimmungeine wichtige Rolle ; die in 18 %iger Lauge loslichen niederpolymeren Anteile der Cellulose sowie die chemisch bereits starker differenzierten Fraktionen der P-Cellulose und die unter dem Begriff y-Cellulose zusammengefafiten Oligosaccharidel) werden namlich an der Alkalicellulose durch *) dzt.
