Die Frage fiber die subehorialen Cysten der Plazenta ist his jetzt trotz der ziemlieh umfangreiehen Literatur wenig ausgearbeitet. Dies h~ngt da.von ab, dass uns his jetzt wenig tiber die normale Struktur der Plazenta bekannt ist und dass, wie Biland (1) sagt, :~das, was die einen fiir Zellschieht des Chorion halten, die andern als Decidua subehorialis materna bezeiehnen." Neistenteits finden sich die Zysten der Plazenta am Ende der Sehwangersehaft, Xermauner (2) dagegen hat sie auf einer Pla.zen~a im sechsten Monat der Schwangersehaft gesehen~ Albeck im fCtnften Schwomgerschaftsm onat. Die Cysten der Plazenta kommen verh/~ltnism/tssig h~;ufig vor: doch wird die tI~ufigkeit ihres Vorkommens yon den verschiedenen Autoren auffallend ungleich angegeben. So vermerkt Fenomenow (4) nur 3 Cysten der Plazenta auf 2000 Gebarten~ Lutochin (5) auf 680 Geburten 9 Plazen~areysten. Winkel (6) land sie in 3 pCt. Kermguner (2) land bei Un~cersuchung yon 285 Plazenten in 56:15 pCt. Cysten. Pitha (7) bereehnet sie auf ~20pCt.; Albeck (3) auf 44,3pCt. Nit gelang es~ ~uf 2500 Geburten Plazentarcysten nut 6 real anzutreffen. Neben dem so ungleichen Prozentsatz des Vorkommens der Cysten in der Plazenta steht die Prage fiber den Ursprung der Cysten-ob sie aus dem mfit~erlichen oder kindliehen Tell der Plazenta ents~ehen und welche Ursaehen ihre Bildung begiinstigen. Sp/~th snd Wedl (8), welche im Jahre 1850 eine Plazentareyste besehrieben~ erkl~trten ihren grsprung dureh Erweiehung des unter ihr gelegenen Infarkts.
