The career planning experience related to European Union’s public servants has been analyzed in this article from the perspective of usability of its elements in Russia. It has been shown that during the career choice a nominee is being affected by main three groups of motives: sufficient level of salary, profession prestige and degree of stability. Thus one of the main reasons for choosing a career in modern Europe is the degree of stability. That's why the system related to legal regulation of public servants’ career in European Union is based first of all by the way to meet the requirements of stability.
