Svirkin GENERALIZED MODEL OF INFORMATION SPREADING IN CONTINUOUS TIME St. Petersburg State University, 7-9, Universitetskaya nab., St. Petersburg, 199034, Russian FederationThe diffusion of information or spreading of rumours is a social phenomenon and plays a significant role in a daily life. Rumours play a very important role in social life and have existed as a social fact since ancient times. The rumour model explains the spread of rumours and serves as a tool for understanding this social phenomenon. Rumours in economics have become more intensively discussed and investigated in recent decades. There are examples of rumour dynamics based on communication and exchange at auctions, in the stock markets and during trading. These backgrounds and motivations give the basis for a mathematical model of the diffusion of information or the spreading of rumours. We give a model that is a generalization of the classical Maki-Thompson model and the stochastic Daley-Kendall model of rumour spreading using the probability approach. A new parameter is suggested for the probability of rumour spreading. The generalized model is formulated and is considered in continuous time. The process of spreading rumours is described by a system of linear differential equations. The general solution for dynamics of spreading of rumours is constructed. Refs 13. Figs 2. Tables 2.
Methods of penalty functions are widely used in nonlinear programming. The idea of penalty function methods consists in reducing the problem of conditional optimization to a problem of the unconstrained optimization. Among the different approaches existing for such reduction we shall consider the method of exact penalty nondifferentiable functions. The implementation of exact penalty function methods first of all depends on the properties of an objective function and a function defining a constraint. Therefore various conditions are imposed on these functions to make it possible to solve our problem.
Polyakova PROBABILISTIC MODEL OF TERMINAL SERVICESSt. Petersburg State University, 7-9, Universitetskaya nab., St. Petersburg, 199034, Russian FederationThe article assumes that several companies have transport terminals located in close proximity. Each company provides transportation and storage of goods. If a terminal of one company is crowded, then the company can rent a storage space in the terminal of another company. If a terminal of some company is not loaded, then the part of the premises may be leased to another company. If there is demand for a product that cannot be met in view of its absence from the terminal, the company can purchase goods at the other terminal and transfer them to another your terminal. Rental of the terminal to another company and the transportation of goods from one terminal to another terminal require additional costs. It is desirable to anticipate the need for the rental of the premises of another company, as the organization of rent and transportation of goods require some additional time and financial resources. Therefore, it is necessary to make long-term planning of financial resources in order to provide additional costs. Cargo flow is stochastic in nature and is not fully known in advance. The paper discusses two terminals maintenance tasks in the framework of a simplified mathematical model. The dynami...
